Well, what can i say.... Tv arrived as promised, first thing i noticed when removing it from the box was the weight, quite heavy for a budget TV .. nice.. Fitted the feet and switched it on. The remote and menus respond very fast, setup is easy and it found my WiFi quickly too.
The screen picture is very good and the colours very vibrant. The sound quality is 10 times better than any other "thin" tv i have viewed and listened to.
Next I connected to Youtube to view some 4k content...... Wow ! just wow.. i was blown away, the resolution is simply stunning. there are 4 Hdmi's and 3 Usb's, along with Vga,and audio video jacks. So overall i am convinced this was a great purchase.

Thanks mate. I had no idea what the hell 4-4-4 chroma was, but decided to google it after you mentioned. And then i realised my pc monitor was actually set on 4-2-2 and that was why all my text was showing up blocky and yellowy on web pages.
you inadvertently help sort out an infuriating problem that i've had since i updated my graphics.

The only problem I'm having with mine is the Freeview HD sound is out of sync with the picture, BBC 1,2,ITV and channel 4 are the worst affected. I don't watch it that often as use Sky but it's annoying that it does this. All other inputs are fine just Freeview HD, can you have a look at yours and see if it is the same please.

Mine arrived today , I'm using it as a PC monitor for my 2012 Mac mini with HDMI. It works perfectly as a monitor , far better then my 10 year old LCD Toshiba it replaced.
Sound is sharp and clear but not much on the side of bass at the side of the Toshiba.
The stands on the new tv's I found are useless in some applications. The new tv would not sit on the desk like the old one would due to the each end pegs. I had to then buy an aftermarket stand to get it back to where I was.

I wouldnt use a TV in the basis of using it as a gaming monitor, the refresh rate is slower and response time is slower than a Monitor.. you wont be able to use 4k at 60hz only 30hz because it doesnt have display port

I use mine as a Mac monitor , I don't play games like Xbox I watch few films, odd email and maybe one or 2 mobile phone style game apps.
The text is more than easy to see even when inches from the screen. It's far better than the 32" ASDA £99 LED blaupunkt off here at Christmas that is unreadable no matter how you mess with the TV or PC settings.

This is the review I saw from Hukd User Jessicat when this tv was listed approx. a monthy ago... this may be of some help to unanswered questions.
I have now ordered 3 of these to use as a surround gaming monitor setup, I bought the first one a few weeks ago to confirm what features it has and spec. HDMI ports are all 2.0 (meaning 4k at 60hz) with HDMI1 port being HDCP 2.2 compliant for 4k on amazon fire tv. The chroma I tested and you need to go into input settings and set the HDMI port to Enhanced to get the test Chroma image to show correctly, not sure if full 4:4:4 but certainly at least 4:2:2 as the chroma test image shows however isn't as clear as a standard monitor. Smart features are smooth thanks to the quad core processor and games in 4k look amazing on it with an 8ms pixel response and 36ms video input response. Also worth playing around with display presets to get a picture that you feel comfortable with. Hoping to get a total of 4 of these to end up with an 80 inch 8k video wall for under £1000. The 40 inch and 48 inch seem pretty similar with the 55 inch one having a passive 3d panel (guessing they might be using LG passive tech or panels). Any other questions please ask but defo a good buy
dcx_badass

It has HDMI 2.0 so you can do 4k at 60hz just fine from a PC so it will work perfectly well for gaming.

Getting mixed messages here whether it'll be suitable for a monitor or not?
Tetsumi
1 Mar 16#52
Maybe I am wrong then but swear these couldn't support 4k at 60hz.. If they can then go for it!
There are still reasons why you would buy a 4k monitor instead of a 4k tv for pc gaming though.

This is my second TV and I've tried everything, my Freeview HD set top box works perfectly as does my Xbox One with the Freeview HD adapter, both running off the same ariel! I'm flummoxed as why this is happening if yours is ok. BBC and Channel 4 HD channels are worst affected, got AO phoning me back in a bit so maybe another exchange is on the cards. Could you possibly check one more time just to make sure, it's strange cos sometimes it's worse than other times. I wish I could post a video on here to show you. Thanks.

Hi there,
for the ones who already bought it, could you please tell me the exact distance in cm from the front of one foot to the other and from the back of the foot to the other (probably is the same measure). Because i have a corner tv stand, so it is larger in the front and gets smaller in the back so my fear is that the back feets would fall out of the surface.
Thanks again for your help

hiya yes the feet are 2cm wide x 27.5cm long (front to back)
ukman151
1 Mar 16#58
It must be as two TVs surely wouldn't have the same fault. We live in a flat and the signal is boosted from one ariel, maybe this is causing a problem, still doesn't explain why the Xbox is fine on the same tv. Never mind as don't use it a great deal as use Sky box which works perfectly but just annoying. I cannot fault the picture and playing games on it is a pleasure. Great tv for the money. Thanks for your help though.

Yeah, if you are on communal Aerial that will most certainly be the issue,an SD signal isnt as resource hungry as a HD signal, and as others will all be on different channels at different times i guess this may be causing the signal lag.

Really loved this tv.
I've bought it for my bedroom as it was a cheap choice for a 40" smart tv.
And now i can say it's way better than my Panasonic Viera Smart 3d 48" on my living room.
The image on the Techwood is impressive, the apps works fine, specially the web browser witch i cant use on the panasonic that crash once you open it.
The Remote control is really good, easy to remember buttons (on the dark).
Sound quality is impressive for a slim tv, i really don't need more than that on a bedroom tv, so i'm selling my sound bar now.
I've played Fifa 2015 on my xbox 360, and noticed shadows while the players are running, probably config. i will work on it later.
Easy setup, netflix works smoothly, webbrowser is ok, bbc iplayer works perfectly, Youtube really good.
My opnion at that time is that £225 was a bargain for a well made tv.
