Described by the Butcher as "Tasty" Cheese - somewhere in taste between mild and mature, taste much like the Supermarket own brand Mature Cheddar. This type of cheese is about £4.30 per Kilo in Lidl or Aldi. Has been freshly packed and has about 1 month shelf life. I was told that they have Palmers Butchers in Kettering 11 Gold Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8JA and

To confirm - I don't work for them or even know them, but I can confirm it was £3 per kilo, has a month of shelf life (about right for a delicatessen counter product) and tastes alright. You pay your money and you take your choice.
This looks like the right cheese to put on a mousetrap.

peanut butter works best for catching mice. Smooth or crunchy.

I've seen it in Palmers before, and wondered what "tasty" actually means, will give it a try and find out

Tasty that's always a good quality to have in a cheese, I almost never go for the sh^&ty tasting cheese, except maybe when the tasty stuff is out of stock. Even the mice in my house agree and they prefer Kitkats, which is why I'll be pitching cheesy Kitkats in the Den this year as soon as I get permission from Rowntree. Tasty Cheesy KitKat, now that has a ring to it doesn't it.

Hmm- "tasty" cheese! Probably go well with red "table" wine!
Beware of cheese with no provenance I say. Why can't they say what sort of cheese it is?

It is a basic Cheese to be sure. Works great for cooking (like cheese on Toast which my family and I have just enjoyed) Obviously this is not a cheese that would be found in Wairose but it is what it is!
