Great opportunity for existing TalkTalk customers, but not enough to swing me towards moving my associated services to TT to qualify. Heat.

Yes they do.
Order as a new sim then phone them up after it arrives and tell them you want to transfer your old number to new sim. It takes 24 hours just like transferring from another network. Did exactly this last month.

Buy another sim going quidco to get the cash back & then when it arrives, phone talktalk & get them to cancel the old sim & swap the number over.

i got this deal when it was £80 quidco cashback. They pay me £14 per year to use my sim. Also got 2 more sims for my son and wife with £45 cashback each. I swap for new sims after the 12 months and get the cashback again. Been doing this for the last 4 years as i get good coverage from on the vodaphone network here

And how do you get multiple TT Quidco cashbacks? Quidco's website indicates only "one sale per Quidco account". I need 4 sim cards, so 4x cashback would be fantastic.

Can I keep my mobile number when I switch to TalkTalk mobile? -
Yes you can. Once you've received your new phone, just log in to My Account or call us on 0345 172 0044 or 2883 from your TalkTalk Mobile and we can arrange this for you. If you already have a TalkTalk SIM service and you'd like to move this number to your new mobile phone, just give us a call and we'll arrange it for you.

Maximum 5 sims per account. I am at my limit. I also got it at £80 cashback!
These are essentially free sims, that keeps me with TalkTalk.
So many times, I wanted to leave. They really have poor support. But free sims save a fair bit.

It's not technically porting. TalkTalk control both Sims so can do what they want with them.
I had this done a couple of times with them. But it's definitely not Porting which involves 2 networks, PAC codes etc

TalkTalk are the cheapest mobile provider in the UK today, especially if you take Quidco/TCB into account. They are unbeatable. I'm a TalkTalk broadband customer and would love the price but I won't be going anywhere near this as long as its Vodafone. Their coverage is poor and the 3G data speeds are a joke where I live (and I'm not in a rural area).
They've been saying this for over a year now and nothing has happened. All has gone eerily quiet and even TalkTalk staff have stopped discussing it. If they had anything concrete about the migration over to O2 and 4G I'd sign up now, but I'm beginning to think it'll never happen.

Great, the network with the smallest 4g spectrum is getting yet another mvmo, after Tesco and giffgaff. Data speeds will be good.....

From my personal experience ... great price but thats where it stops. If you want customer service after you've signed up its none existant , promises of calls back never happen and you can't cancel your contract at the end unless you write ...and that would be via thier complaints department. The online chat reps just pass on info but dont "deal" with anything , and the call centre waiting times are beyond a joke ( over an hour ) , when you do get through you'll need the best of luck to understand them . The irony ...for a company that call themselves "Talktalk".
They didn't learn to keep your details secure the first time thier system was hacked , so it happened again ( by a teenager ! ). After this they're still offering the best new BB / Landline deals to "new" customers. Be warned they will offer you the same price per month as new customers but the contract will be longer in which time you will be paying full price.
I certainly won't be getting involved with this company again. Its cost me far more than any savings made.

everyone's experiences are different I've been with talk talk coming up to 5 years every year I think I'll leave but the price keeps me and the fact I have 5 mobile sims at cracking prices which no other retailer comes close to touching.
I've never waited to speak to someone except one when they put me through to a department which was shut! If you can't understand the person talking to you, just ask to speak to someone else. I've cancelled plenty of times without having to write in. I've also had phone backs when promised. so in essence I've got the complete opposite experience of yourself. The only thing which puts me off is you really need to keep an eye on your bills as discounts sometimes expire before the should. but I've always had good warning of price hikes.

I have cancelled many by calling them. Just ask for a PAC code. I never had any problems.

29 Feb 16#23
You've had much more luck than me then ... , 2 online chats , 2 attempts of getting through to the call centre which took over an hour each and 2 promised call backs ..... official complaint was my only solution and this had to be in writing as they broke every promise otherwise.

Just about to leave TalkTalk. Price was very good but customer service was terrible. It's not based in UK and the connection isn't the best. Sometimes you'll get some really lovely operators but sometimes you'll get some that you can't quite understand fully or as I recently discovered some who just don't care about your custom - I wanted to know some details about an early termination fee since my contract was ending soon and she just hung up.
Phone signal is pretty reliable I found though (Hampshire + Nottinghamshire area).
Edit: Regarding those who are already with them and want to switch over, I did this last year with mine. However I wanted the Quidco cashback so I just ordered a new SIM and phoned them to port over my number. Big mistake. If I remember correctly, the operator told me he couldn't port my number onto the new SIM and told me to port it to another network and then back to TalkTalk. Absolute pain but it worked in the end. I guess that's my fault for trying to squeeze a bit more money off of the contract :innocent:

No don't do it, any company that is happy to charge you £400 for going a few minutes over your data allowance with no warning, with a "hard luck read the small print" attitude when called should not be able to operate in this country, that's the risk you're signing up for, dreadful company

They will allow you over your data limit. It's not capped. Got a few £50 bill on my sons account. Not worth it for me. Put him on giff gaff so I know exactly what it costs each month

I never had a problem with reception or price, they were actually pretty good. I left due them due to the well publicised, repeated hacks that may or may not have compromised my personal data on more than one occasion. It just seemed indicative of poor company practices.
I was promised that they would be offering 4G very soon when I got my PAC code in August last year, but that never appears to have happened from what other posters have said. I never personally had a problem with their customer service, even managed to haggle better deals when I spoke to them, but I think I was the exception to the rule. Voting hot purely for the price, good find

I log into my talktalk account on my browser. Then go to the quidco sim card offer. Order one sim at a time. Each one will track with the offered cashback. £40 each sim at the moment. Last year i bought my sims thru topcashback which paid out £63 per sim card

you can, there is no such thing as porting a number within the same network, they simply assign your number to a new sim card, similar to if your sim breaks

Talk Talk 3G speed in Manchester is ~20MB/sec. Good enough to easily stream, video call via Skype/Viber etc, not to say use social media, send/receive emails etc. They even offered me a month off for one-day delay of the porting of my number. Cannot fault them for £5.50.

That is "if" you can get through to their customer service team , I had last year's deal and it took 8 weeks to get through to them , by which time they had charged me two months at the full rate. I cancelled in the end for them being the worst company I have ever dealt with. yes THE worst.

Looked like a good deal. I've just become eligible for an upgrade with EE and already have a TalkTalk broadband account so was looking to move. Deal appears to be over now as I can only see this deal for 10.50 p/m unless I'm looking in the wrong places. The next best deal seems to be 7.75 p/m with 2.1 GB data.
