Use code LEAP at checkout

Normally its £25.95 per adult to visit the shard alone, which would be £51.90 for two.

If you go by those ticket prices the rest works out £17.18 each for the 3 course meal and drink. The view from up there is incredible! Should make a really nice Mothers day treat. £43.13pp is very good for this.

You can choose from 3 restaurants (Sample menus under the summery on site)

Restaurants are:

Latium.
Hotel Chocolat.
SixtyOne.

Only recently built and already an integral part of London’s iconic skyline, The Shard points up to the clouds, reaching an incredible 308m and rendering it Western Europe’s tallest building. What would it be like to look down on the capital, its landmarks and people, from so high up? Find out with this jaw-dropping sightseeing and gourmet experience for two, ideal for any occasion – whether you’re looking to thrill a partner, treat a parent or simply get an unbeatable selfie with a friend, when you ascend to the View from The Shard by ultra modern lift, you’ll both be lost for words. Day or night, London’s most famous landmarks are breathtaking, and you won’t want to forget your camera! Although the view might tempt you to stay, you’ll want to come down sooner or later, because a fabulous meal awaits you in a choice of three sophisticated restaurants: Latium in Soho, Hotel Chocolat Rabot 1745 in Borough Market or SixtyOne restaurant in Marble Arch. Three delicious courses each will be accompanied by a chilled glass of chilled bubbles at one of these Michelin recommended eateries located in the heart of the city, so make the most of your outing in London with this experience for two.

The Shard is a very expensive ride in a lift. This is a good deal with the food etc but to say the usual price is £26pp just for the Shard is a little misleading as they usually have offers on the entrance fee. My advice, don't get your hopes up. It's just looking at London from a high building!
rich_1986
26 Feb 16 #29
I'm going to second the last comment. Did a Shard and meal experience pack. The meal was fantastic, at Marco Pierre's. The Shard on the other hand was awful. Don't get me wrong, London from that height is beautiful, but the Shard itself is drab, and dull, and then they have the cheek to make you pay for a superimposed picture of yourself on a computer generated background of London. Just a waste of public money to be honest.

You can go to the top of the Sky Garden near Fenchurch Street Station for nothing and get views pretty much the same as the Shard. Its literally across the river from the Shard. The Sky Garden has a snack bar, Brasserie and restaurant too. Sky Garden is a good experience for no cost.

Seems like a good deal. Another option - Ting on the 35th floor of the shard itself does a 3 course lunch for £34. On certain days you might find the 3 courses for the price of two offer running (£29).

Obviously it's not as high as the shard view but not bad nonetheless.

You can hire one that does for £100 or so an hour on Adultwork, just have to hope she's not one that's been trafficked and is doing it against her will. Plenty of hard up students on there I'm sure, so that obviously makes it alright of course.

I'd love to make a joke about Laurel and Shardy, but I can't be bothered, plus all the good jokes have been Taken.

We have an office in the Walkie Talkie and so I go into the Sky Garden regularly. Members of the public can go up for free- just make sure you book in advance. Better views than London Eye. If you want a nice meal, the Brasserie is the best restaurant up there.

This deal implies at the start (when people vote) that you have your meal in a restaurant at the top of the shard. This in particular - "Normally its £25.95 per adult to visit the shard alone, which would be £51.90 for two.

If you go by those ticket prices the rest works out £17.18 each for the 3 course meal and drink. The view from up there is incredible!
" I think it should be made very clear at the start that you are going to a totally different venue for your meal. But then I don't think many have voted this up for the actual deal, it's all about "taking your mum up the shard" which doesn't even make sense and appears to only have been liked by the benny hill crew.

So the meal is clearly 'post coital' I presume the the restaurant have a suitably themed menu, for example....

Please select any starter & main course from our "I've just been taken up the Shard" Special

I wonder if you have to enter the restaurants via the back entrance?

You've got to laugh at the discount code in relation to our tallest building "Use code LEAP at checkout" .....that should give anyone feeling depressed an idea.
