That joke is as funny as it was 15 years ago, it also gets funnier when someone says every day it on every single Street Fighter thread. Well done.

Have you tried xpadder.

There are only keys for 1 player using a keyboard so using JoyToKey would not let you play 2 players locally like I wanted. You can use X360ce to convert Xinput PS3 devices to Directinput so they work with SFV or wait until Capcom patch in the support like they just said they would in their latest PR.

Use a program called joytokey there are full instructions on the steam community page.

If you want to play v CPU then not yet as they're still working on a deep story mode to be released in June.
But if you want to play matches online then yes, the gameplay is more suited to a non SF fan than SF4. This is chunky, fun combat with a way more fun learning curve.
Online leagues get sorted so you should always be playing around those at same level, unlike SF4 which had one league with everyone.

It will be in June when they add more content to it. Right now there's not much to it. Reminds me a lot of Tekken Online with regards to content.

I did, At first I couldn't even connect to the server to login then I went to the Casual online search and eventually got paired up with someone after about 5 minutes. The netcode seems really good, I didn't see the ping of the guy I was playing but it was smooth throughout the whole fight. After the fight there is no way to rematch the same person and after 10 mins waiting for another matchup I gave up.

Did you give it a shot tonight? I'm getting about one match every half hour when messing around in training mode. Can't get a game at all if I try going into ranked or casual.. Waiting endlessly.
Thought It'd would be amazing on release, loads of instant games, seems not. For me anyway.

Took me 45 minutes after the midnight unlock until me and a mate could finally get a game going because of the lack of fights tick support. Luckily I had 2 DS4s which I use for Rocket League so we were able to get some games going last night but it's not as good without fightsticks.
Also the game is really bare bones at this stage. Needs some more characters and modes, and Directinput support for fightsticks. Gonna try online tonight.

Thanks a mil! Looked DS4Windows up and installed it and I'm sorted now. Hopefully won't be much trouble to set the keys the way I had in other SF games, will give a going over tonight.
But for now I'm chuffed, was really disappointed earlier when I couldn't play. Woke up really early just to try it!

I've just turned my Ps4 copy on and it said servers with be switched on at 4pm P.T. which is midnight here. So any data will be deleted from before then. Just as I typed this maintenance to run in 20 minutes popped up.

Ohh, that's a shame mate, it must Americas that are without the disk. Thanks for letting me know, definitely going full digital if I get it for PC.
Servers are in maintenance right now on the PS4 side, the notice says they're getting ready for the day 1 launch servers, so with some luck the day 1 patch might hit earlier than expected and I'll know if I'm buying this or not. :man:

Maybe someone knows a workaround..?

Review embargo is lifted in about 50 mins. 4pm UK time. Not that I care much for reviews anyway :man:
My physical copy contained both - the disc and the redemption code.
I guess that just means I don't have to download so much tonight.
But it still won't let me play - I can't install the game because it's "not released yet" even though I've had it since Saturday, so frustrating! Makes me wish I'd bought a PS4 now. **** steam and their nonsense.

Agree with this. In terms of value, it'll be the best buy out of anything on the market. You can't really find many 20 quid games that can provide 1000+ game hours that you still get a buzz out of and still are only mid way through the learning curve.
4 was amazing, but I'm looking forward to 5 more just because it will be easier. I do not have the time to dedicate to spam training mode trying to link combos together for 100s of hours to maybe pull it off once a night in an actual match. 5 should be more rewarding for guys like me. We should see a more even playing field between casuals and more hardcore players in terms of input skill. Your footsie game, ranging etc should be more important. That's what I'm gathering from online comments, whether that's true or not we will see.
Fingers crossed though!

if the release is midnight by region then yes, VPN into Japan and you will get it early. Be warned though if the unpack is big it'll likely to be very slow over VPN and once you start unpacking you need to finish it in that region. You can't half unpack then think fk it i'll wait for UK release because it's too slow (at least this was my experience with borderlands VPN via hong kong).
Release however may be global, firewatch had a global release based on west coast america time which meant us brits couldnt play until 6pm on release day. Fingers crossed for a JP midnight release and you might be playing when you get in from work tonight!

I haven't turned my PS4 on for over a year! I have a gaming laptop so I can play this when I am away at work. I also like that you can mod PC games, I modded USF4 a bit with some classic SF2 stages and some different characters like Asura which was cool. The game is about half the PS4 price and the DLC will be much cheaper.
Those are all the pros I can think of for the PC version. The cons are that the game probably won't work properly for about a week and I'll have to fix it somehow to get it working tonight. Never pre-ordered a Capcom game before so don't know how well they support PC games. They've had enough Betas to get this thing working though.

Its cross platform so you can play ps4 players if buying PC version.
Also if buying a physical copy of the game for PC, how do you play online? This will be first PC game.
SecondSon1 to ganon
15 Feb 16#28
The physical copy won't contain a disc, just a leaflet with a redemption code on it, which you'll redeem via Steam. The game will be added to your 'Steam library' and from there you can download the game, run it, select your fighter ID and go online at your leisure.

Read the article on Eurogamer about how buch is missing on day one and didn't understand why they just didn't wait that extra month to have it all ready for launch. This whole 'we'll fix it/patch it after launch' mentality is really getting out of hand. I think i'll just wait for the game to be complete before buying.
Great price though.

is it worth waiting for the ultra super street fighter V edition? or the even further edition of super street fighter ultimate haribo edition?
ran93r to djaydearz
14 Feb 16#14
the official line is that there won't be one of those editions and the model is to release characters and costumes as a nickel and dime format. Personally I can't believe Capcom won't at some point release a GOTY style edition but who knows, they might actually keep their word for once.

After having experience with the PS4 version (I have that already) the game is almost exactly like the last beta, online matches are still very laggy, no access to the in-game shop, the only single player mode besides a chopped up story (the full story is releasing in June) is survival, which gets tiresome. The biggest concern is the online lag so close to release, there are a growing amount of complaints about this.
There's supposed to be a day 1 patch, which will hopefully it will address all of these issues, but right now the game is in an unfinished state and just feels like beta 4.
Edit: this is a good price, so I'm tempted. Heat added!
