I hope that's true but I just don't believe them...so far, they have price gouged owners of the original games for worthless DLC that new peeps got at a huge discount in multiple new bundles consistently...and considering it's what kept them afloat as a company according to their interviews, I'm not holding my breath for them to change this tradition...

Perhaps, but I read that this version has been designed to work as the core platform, they want to avoid the fragmented player base which SFIV had. The game will be updated for everyone but you can choose to purchase characters etc.

I would normally agree considering how capcom have treated gamers with SF4, but with SF5, capcom have continually spoken about gamers unlocking new content just by playing the game, earning "fight money" and using it to purchase in game goods, people with money to spare but not much in game time can purchase content with real money.

Street fighter 4 came out in 2008, ultra in 2014, shall we just wait 6 years yeah?
Thinking to get a stick for the PC when this is released. Is it worth it? I have a PS4 pad I use for games at the moment whenever it's compatible.

For me it is, I get the PS4 version when it becomes cheaper.

This is happening because of Sony so yeah its written for console first. I be surprised if it comes to arcades, even if it did. SF4 will still have a mighty lead in the arcade market.

Question...
If SF Ultra runs buttery smooth on my very modest PC (amazingly), will it mean SFV will run likewise?

Some feedback, maybe you can compare specs with some of the posters here..
Apparently the beta performance is good but it is now on Unreal Engine 4.
Surprised how similar it looks to IV, some of the interface arguably looks worse...
Hoping the price will drop again when the beta concludes as it was recently £21.99 on CDKeys.

Nope, the original SFIV arcade machine was a PC in an arcade cabinet, that's why it ran so well, this looks like this time they wrote it for console hardware first.
