I'll buy this when it's a fiver. Or when they release a single player, whichever comes first.

How easy is this to do? Can they take your game away if caught?

the lack of single players not that bad. it's that it lacks a lot of multiplayer too.

yes there's google, but perhaps if someone on here has done the mexican purchase, then perhaps they could share their process ?

I'll bite when it hits the £10-15 mark, even £25 seems a bit much for this given the massive amounts of good games that are already out and are about to hit the PC at the mo.
edit: Heat from me, though! xD

Does Chrome extension Hola still work? I can't seem to get it to work although I'v used it in the past.
Edit: Finally got Hola to work, just very slow. Turn off before hitting continue to paypal and Bob's your uncle! Just under £14
Just Wondering

Tempted via hola but had it on ps4 and sold it on pretty quickly, I like bf4, but found there was not enough skill to the shooting, great graphics and sound

Congratulations on the most pointless post I've ever seen.
If someone is buying this game off Origin then I'm sure after downloading the game (around 30ish GB) then I'm sure the 1GB update is the least of their broadband worries.

Do you have to use a VPN to play the game or just simply to purchase?

Just for the purchase you can use the game as you would any other once its added to your account

DOH....and if they bought a hard copy on Disk from a shop ?

Average download speeds in the UK is 22 Mbps. Which means it'd take the average Brit about 10 minutes to download the update. It's... Not a lot.

.....am on 166mb so don't really care anyway...lol.
Was only making folk aware there was an update.....

Yes well this isn't a hard copy from shop is it. it's the full game to download.
Its IS Battlefront though....and your point being ??

3 Feb 16#21
My point being if someone is prepared to download 30ish GB for a game then I don't think they give 2 ***** about a 1gb update.

Bizarre because I live in the centre of one of biggest cities in the country and don't have that level of speed.
Although admittedly that might also be because I refuse to pay for a fibre connection.

i lived in leeds city centre 2 years ago and the fastest i could get was 8mb or so. I now only 5 mins from the centre and get fibre. Someone told me city centres are slower to upgrade because of the amount of work installing new cables, digging up roads etc? Might be complete BS but that's what i've heard.

The city I live in is weird in that half of it has cable access and the other half doesn't.
The local exchange can literally be seen from our window and is just a few minutes away on foot so we were among the first to receive fibre access but I refuse to pay the high prices for it on top of the ever increasing line rental costs which are unfortunately mandatory if you want internet access in this country (don't even get me started on that scam). It would only really be useful to me if I wanted to download a big game anyway.

The only thing faster than Geordie broadband is the rate at which they're heading for the Championship

I don't regret buying it but several times I've been in a game which has been completely ruined by cheaters, there doesn't seemed to be any anti-cheat technology or anyone actually monitoring the servers so they get away with it time and time again, really annoying. I thought it was ok as a casual play but it won't keep you interested for more than an hour or so for a quick blast, maybe longer if playing with friends on teamspeak or something.

The player base for this is pretty feeble for a new game on the PC. With no server selection available, players in some regions have experienced problems getting a game in the less popular game modes. http://swbstats.com/
This is a good price (heat added), but not willing to pay for a game that will cost me twice this for the DLC.

Of all the things in life that someone MIGHT be inclined to be jealous about, someone else having superfast fibre optic broadband sure isn't one of them. Get over yourself.

Thanks very much! Didn't work first time but eventually went through. What a bargain! About what I would pay for this sort of game.

No, that's the old one. This is new, came out in November last year and nothing like the older game.

I don't get the whole SP experience complaints tbh. Did people really ever by Battlefield games (1, 2, 3 and 4 as opposed to Hardline etc) for a solid single player campaign? This is just basically Battlefield set in the Star Wars universe and I think it's OK. I've put in 68 hours apparently and I've got myself to Rank 41 (still got 9 to go). I think as an MP game it has plenty of stuff to do. Challenges (and now daily ones available for additional XP too).
Plus you get to fly X-Wings and Tie-Fighters or fire an AT-AT's lasers, I means what else can you ask for
