Sound like great deals Lebdude.
Would love to get one of those Kylo Ren shuttles.
Where was the promotion?
Thanks

The investment is solid. It's just harder to predict which sets will increase dramatically. It all beats the banks though.
A friend bought 2x Super Star Destroyers (£350 each I think) they are now fetching double that on eBay.
I prefer to open mine up and enjoy the building of them.

Think it's still cheaper to buy the bigger sets from the continent, savings may have gone down this last week though

with the glut of star wars sets coming out in the past year and being retired much quicker than usual its difficult to call whether the market will be saturated with new and old sets look before you leap is my advice.

Did you mean 2015? It was only released last September. The cheapest I have seen these is £32 but they don't last very long.

Good deal. Picked up 2 x Lego Wall-e for £35 a piece. One for me and one for my brother, before anyone asks!

Nice! I remember Christmas 2014 when these were floating around for £15. I decided not to pick them up, but kind of regret my decision now. :disappointed:

i do not quite understand the logic in buying a lego set at say £100.00 to flip for say £200.00 in a years time if you are lucky seller fees etc, when the internet is awash with items you can buy and resell many times over making much better use of your original investment of £100.00.
Great find for lego buffs though.

is the internet really awash with such items? examples?
But I'm not talking about the RRP (a level I'm personally not prepared to meet anyway). I'm talking about prices the Lego sets reach after sellers have hoarded them.

I was just being a bit cheeky.....One Poe's X-wing at 40 odd quid was enough for me.

It's worth whatever someone decides to pay for it. If they want to Pay RRP then that's what it's worth to them. To call people idiots for buying at RRP is idiotic itself. If you see it as overpriced that your opinion.

The fun is with building them and playing with them if your a child or just a big kid.

just bought 100 of each set. Will sell 99 of each set when they have been discontinued next year and pay off my mortgage. Thanks OP! ;-)

That must have taken an age, putting each through 1 by 1 to get the £10 off.

I bought an old leg set with the intention of giving it to my son, 2 years ago, now when I look at them on Amazon, it's twice the price I paid, what to do, find him something else or give it as a present. I've just tidied one of their rooms, there's probably a grands worth, lost in a big box of loose unsorted pieces :disappointed: if only they'd kept and not opened the boxes.

Problem is...it's not the sellers fault there are idiots out there who want to pay silly money for these sets. I was tempted to overpay for the last airport set that came out but decided to wait. Thankfully airport sets are back later this year.

The trouble with this set is, I just don't like it. It looks crap. It will look even more crap next to my red 5 x-wing.

Perfect, thanks for the heads up.
I went for Poe's X-Wing for £46, much better than the £70 I've seen it for elsewhere.

Deals like this, all the sellers snap them all up to sell at £100 each in 18 months time. Wish I had the funds to do this.
