This is a steal for anyone who wants the Z5 as the phone is circa £400 so you are getting a expensive contract for £14 a month...no sim only deal comes close to that with 10GB of Data
this is with Vodaphone
your monthly fee is £64 for 12 months but after you get the first 3 months Automatically refunded after 90 days, it makes your contract the £47.33 you dont have to do anything, the money goes directly to your account...
to get this deal increase the slider on for monthly fee to maximum, then go to page 10 at the bottom

It states Vodafone but it so rubbish in my area so I will surely let this go but maybe good for some people

is the coverage checker true? as it says I have a strong 4g signal, but I am not sure I trust them, as EE told me the same and I spent the last 12 months only getting 4G about 10% of the time....
people should be allowed to cancel contracts if they lie

Maybe I'm missing something? This looks like a great deal if you want that phone and are happy with the network.

you are not, what you are missing is the HUKD crowd who hate these type of deals, no joke if I put this phone as £380 to buy it would go hot all day, despite the fact it comes with no data or mins...just how it works on here

Anyone currently on Vodafone able to advise what they're like as a network these days? haven't used them for years, and apart from a question mark over this deal involving them, it seems incredibly good!

I live in a semi-rural area and had no problems with coverage here or on my commute. Customer service though are sh... but then which mobile network does have good CS, from experience 3 and O2 are just as bad.

It all depends where you live.
I'm in greater london and it's the only network that works reliably in my house.
I commute to London in the City every day and along my commute and at work it's fine.
15 miles north from me I can get no signal even outdoors (at a friends house)
1st check the predictor, if it doesn't live up to that you can cancel

I think a lot of it is we as consumers expect to be courted for our service, as a lot of them could not give a crap, yesterday I phoned EE to leave and at no point did he try to get me to stay, just said fine, sorry to see you leave and here is your PAC code...
I hear Vodaphone are the same, not interested in you as a customer
Aeschylus
31 Jan 16#13
is that 100% as the predictor says I am good for 4G, but then EE told me the same and 4G was flakey at best

31 Jan 16#14
If the predictor says its good and you can't get it or it's poor, you can still return within 14 days under distance selling regs.
Talk to the sales peeps before you commit if you're worried

ahh yes, knew the 14 days, I was more hoping if after a month or so you never got the 4G they say you will they can be held to account
Good deal but voted cold as you always ignore the rules about cashback

The autocashback also has rules making it loophole filled no Cashback, still waiting from last year and now complaining

My honest opinion with vodafone is that they have good and bad customer service... Which to be honest again is not good enough but whenever I do complain I eventually do find someone who will compensate me for the merry go round... It does take quite a lot of goes though, lol!

where does the £14pm come into it?
Aeschylus to Pan111
31 Jan 161#22
it is based on reasonable logic, this phone brand new will cost you roughly £400, so it means you are paying £167 for the years contract, so £167/ 12 months is £13.91 ergo £14..
so my argument (based on you wanting the Z5 obviously) is that there is not a sim only deal on the market today where you get unlimited mins and texts plus 10GB of data for £14

Was actually going to post nearly the same deal earlier, you can get it slightly cheaper and more stuff thrown in. If you go to the Free Gifts section at the bottom of the main page you can find same deal but only £44 a month after the cash back, plus they also throw in a choice of a £50 iTunes voucher, £50 Amazon voucher, £50 Marks and Spencers voucher or a Kindle 6" E Ink Display (worth about £60). You also get the same free Sony Bluetooth Speaker as per the offer above (not sure if it's mentioned anywhere in this thread though).
Obviously TCB or Quidco of £31.50 / £30 respectively too.
Also worth mentioning for those with a Santander Bank account or card, I had an offer on my online banking page (under the retailer offers bit) which gives you another £40 cash back when you take out a Vodafone contract of more than £17 a month

3 just as bad? The call centre is in Glasgow where you get through to some lovely people. Vodafone is some asian country where they hang up on you. Please do not compare as you are misleading many people to take this deal.

Having come from the Xperia Z3 before it, I do find the Z5 a bit of a step backwards.
First off, the battery life, you will struggle to get 2 days without turning on the Stamina Mode. Realistically with moderate use, you are looking at under 1.5 days.
Also the camera which has been so hyped up, yes its fast focusing but the image processing software ruins details in shots. I wish they would just advertise it as a 8MP camera too, as the 20MP mode (which you have to turn on manually) doesnt take as detailed shots. I think this could have been a great camera, but its ruined by the software.
I like the thumb/fingerprint sensor on the side, but as its so slim, sometimes it doesn't recognise the scan.
Everything else is just a bit run of the mill, its just good, but not great.
Having had it since November, I doubt I be keeping it for much longer, I may go for the Samsung S7 when it arrives later this month.

I'm with vodafone. I think all networks are pretty similar these days.
I get one bar of 4G signal, and thats more than enough to stream youtube or netflix in 1080p!
As for customer service, seriously don't bother ringing them, they're useless. Pop into a store, and get the store staff to help you.
I spent half an hour in the store last week after days of arguing with the customer service.
The store manager spent 20 minutes arguing with the same customer support before they relented an gave in to what he was demanding they do.
From now on, any problems, i goto store and they can force the problem to be solved themselves

Coverage checkers are just guides as you don't know if buildings (height, material, etc), 4G spectrums (different signal waves = different uses) are taken into consideration.

6 months on, no autocashback, called and was told it is £25 but needs to be claimed as autocashback is automatic transfer when you provide a bill on a specific date, was not happy and complained in writing now.
