Tried a couple of different brands of this type product. Never worked for me. Went to 99p store and got the bendy wire variant with a convenient handle on one end and firm metal on the end. Tried it on the shower drain, bath plughole, ensuite sink plughole. Worked on all of them with a little effort to thread it down and twist. This has saved me having to strip down the pipework on the sink, which I did on a previous occasion. Superb investment the wire unblocker, but these consumer unblocking "solutions? Not in my experience.

take a tip from a plumber
don't bother with any of these over the counter rubbish (including brand names) they do not work
go to a plumbers merchant and ask for a industrial drain cleaner or.......
call a plumber

Get "One Shot drain cleaner" instead. Expensive but it does the job.

I cannot remember whether it was B & M or the other similar store , but it is worth investing in a cheap set of drain rods for about £13 and they do the trick if you rod from the Manhole outside.

I've been buying the same stuff from pound land for the last 5 yrs and never had a problem. Always dissolves leftover hair and my drains haven't backed up. Sometimes the cheaper stuff is just as good as the expensive stuff!

Would it unblock a slowly draining bath, which i suspect is clogged with the misses hair as i've had to physically unblock it before.

Try pouring it on hair and see if it dissolves. If not then answer is no, tell your partner to get a hair cut.

Yes it will. We use it regularly to avoid blockages or to remove blockages. Pour half a bottle and leave few hours then wash with hot water...

I didn't know it exists for a quid so I'm glad the OP shared this. Its expensive in the big three supermarkets and I need some anyway. Heated.

Not a 'deal' really, just the regular price and I can't see them reducing the price any time soon  although they might reduce the size.

Bought this a few times over the years. Works perfectly fine just like the stuff I've paid almost 5 times the price for!

Just get a piece of metal wire and make a hook out of it and hook the hair out. It's disgusting but it works better than chemicals.

Probably, it's just Caustic soda like all the others

Just use caustic soda crystals (carefully!) most products contain a weak solution of it anyway and the crystals are cheap & effective.
