I switched to an Xperia Z3 in August last year. I love the phone. I doubt I would go back to Samsung handsets again.
Good specs for the price.

I get the figures, im just going on the results. Most with the Sony suggest they get around a days use. Now what they are doing each day, or how much screen time they use, I don't know. I can tell you though that the U6 gives me Roughly on average 40-46 hours use with screen time around 2.5-3 hours each day over the two days off a single charge mainly using the phone for the internet and a few phone calls. Mainly the internet though. If used on a full charge I've had 8 hours screen time from it continuous watching a downloaded movie, internet use and reading downloaded files during a very long work commute, with 3% left. This was over WiFi. Again, I know the specs, but I'm going on the experience. The Smart Ultra 6 is the best battery I've ever had on a smart phone, and the best battery since my Nokia 3210. Which would last a full week without issues, I miss those days.
This phone is shockingly good. Got my girlfriend one for Xmas because of specs and Xperias are known for quality builds. Camera is great too

Got this on Black Friday. They released the 5.1 update two weeks ago. Marshmallow due according to Sony's website. The cpu scores 50k on Anutu, where the SU6 snap dragon scores in the late 20s. Battery isn't brill but I use the power saving profile. Screen is brill

Looking at the price and specs, also 5.5, I assume it's Sony's effort to combat the rise of the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 - almost identical specs, and similar price.
Hopefully Ultra 6 will drop to £99 now (and not just at Asda)

SU6 from me too. Only really advantage to the Sony for me is the CPU score, but for the normal everyday user that's pretty much irrelevant and the battery life of the SU6 (around 2 days on average use) outweighs the CPU benefit. Just personal opinion.

I understand that you love the phone, but not everything is right about it (there is no such thing as a perfect phone).
The battery will last a day with light use, but use the browser for more than a couple of hours a day, or play some games, and the battery will be dead by 6PM (around 10-12 battery life with average use). The poor battery life was only made worse with the 5.1 upgrade.
Otherwise it's a nice phone for the price, too big for me though.

Thinking about returning the U6 bought for 105. screen is much better on the SONY, and camera too. Tried video calling using the U6 and image quality is bad at night with lights on. Also need to consider support. U6 is made by ZTE, so far still no sign of upgrading to Mashmellow.

6 Feb 16#30
Bought one of these off a friend the other day. Wouldn't say the build quality is that much better than the SU6 - we aren't talking Z series here - but it's not bad. I don't really trust MTK CPUs in terms of updates, as their inclusion in products always seemed to hold them back, but this could be a remnant of the past.
This has a front-facing wide angle 'selfie' cam, which I tried to use to take a photo of me and my wife, and the results were very washed-out and not in the slightest bit impressive.
Screen is about on a par with the SU6, though my memory tells me the SU6 goes a little brighter. This screen definitely isn't BETTER than the SU6 though, as seems to have been suggested.
I would say it isn't a 'no brainer' to get this over the SU6. They're about on a par if you ask me. The Sony is less 'stock' than the SU6 though as there is a lot of Sony additions to the firmware.
One thing I found interesting was that I could sideload the Sony Remote Play app (without rooting) and remotely play my PS4 with a DualShock 4 plugged in via a USB OTG cable. Pretty fun.

This has been cheaper during black friday deals @ £99.99...was thinking of buying then, but have been put off with some of the reviews around here
Old reviews based on the old firmware. The 5.1 update the other week has improved my phone. The problem with most people is that they don't adjust the settings, they may set the brightness to 100, keep Bluetooth and WiFi on when not needed etc. I am a It geek, and for 99 quid it's a bargain. Phone lasts me a day. The plus point I can use it with one hand, it's small for a 5.5 inch phone. The SU6 is bigger and I needed two hands to operate it.

£160 on Amazon, some nice reviews too. Looks like the only bad reviews are from folk who received pre opened boxes. Also seems that it might struggle with high end games, but overall looks very good for this money.
I see it has the stamina mode, I use this on my Z2 and Z3 Compacts ((tablet and phone I do like the Xperias) all the time, hardly has any effect in performance to me but really gives good battery life.
Are the speakers front facing like on my other xperias (?) If so this is a bug plus point to me.
Interesting deal, seems a very similar basic spec as the 3rd Gen Moto G (16gb version) but a fair bit cheaper and with Sony's nice extras, such as that compatibility with PS4 etc. One advantage I would see the Moto G having us battery life, but maybe not if the stamina mode works as well as on my Sony devices.
Nice short look at the Selfie cam, seems good quality to me, has plenty of features...
Shame it's not dual sim, crucial for me. Also heard some poor reviews on the camera, lacking detail. But a good price regardless. If I could find a phone around same specs, price, dual sim then I'm happy.

6 Feb 16#47
Looks like it has an FM Radio too. I use that alot on my phones, with stamina mode you can listen for ages without using much battery. I think this is rather impressive (though looks like speakers are not front facing).

The next Moto G is probably the next Moto G lol.
The Moto G has a history of good updates and bloat free Android which are part and parcel of why it's good, Sony don't really have the same track record in these areas. I "upgraded" to a Z1 from a 2nd gen Moto G and I honestly didn't feel like it was an upgrade at all, even once Lollipop came along. Best thing about it was was I got such a bargain I sold it for almost what I paid for it. Back to a Moto X Play now and I'm just hoping that Lenovo won't dilute what made Motorola great since Moto G too much, it's a fantastic phone and Marshmallow has made it even greater - 5% drop in battery in 14-15hrs when I wasn't using it!
Yep, holding out for a deal on the Moto X Play Dual Sim - apart from amazon france or germany anyone know where I can get a deal on the dual sim version?

That was my main issue with the phone apart from freezing once and becoming very hot. Also when making calls, the screen would go black and no buttons would respond. Issue with sensor when applying screen protector.

Is that the 8gb memory model or 16gb?
If you have the 8gb model then the C4 will definately be an upgrade.
However even against the top moto g model, the C4 still has a slightly better battery, a higher screen resolution, faster processor and a bigger screen (which you may or may not prefer)
From my basic knowledge, all phones operate better with more internal momery.
I would still get an external memory card to save your photos, downloads etc on though. Keeping your internal memory less clogged up.
Edit: The C4 only takes Nano sim cards, so you have to get a new sim sent out to you

Hmm...seems you may have a badly run store. I don't know on what grounds they denied you your Nikon but if it was because the offer changed between reservation and collection, their T&C's state that if you can show you reserved it at the former price (e.g. by showing them your confirmation text) then you get that price. In fact I really benefited from it a while ago when I ordered a PS4 at a good price, the offer changed overnight to a higher price but with a free game, and I ended up with the lower price and a free game, which I think was an error on their part!

I did get mine yesterday so it looks like I was one of the lucky ones. Pretty shoddy behaviour by Argos though especially when people have made other purchases on the basis of having a confirmed order.

I ordered this phone on Sunday - just received a call from Argos advising unavailable and payment will be refunded to my bank a/c in 5 working days - poor show Argos and not good enough refund time - payment shouldn't be taken up front if they can't fulfill the contract.

So does anyone know if they are 'allowed' to take payment and sit on it for 10 days without delivering the goods?

Just received a call to tell me mine has been cancelled too. I ordered Monday afternoon. I asked about if they were offering a discount IR vouchers as a gesture if goodwill and they said they weren't. Very disappointed, especially as the phone will still showing in stock yesterday afternoon.

Haha just checking the comments and it seems a common theme. Back to the drawing board! Anyone got any suggestions for a new handset?

Same "courtesy call" to let me know they've cancelled my order after being told yesterday that it "should arrive" by Friday on their chat. Some scouse woman (I like scousers usually BTW) had zero sympathy, just kept repeating the same message over again, that there was nothing they could do and their supplier informed them that the phone was out of stock and wouldnt be getting any more in. &*(%£"!"£"! liars. Stone cold responses from her. I know they just didnt want to honour the price they set and didnt care. Second time thats happened from something bought on Argos but not honoured. Told her I had chatted yesterday to someone via Argos chat who confirmed it still ok and on order, and on good faith I then ordered accessories, but this Argos rep said she wouldnt offer any compensation or further appology. She basically said it was my problem. Wont be ordering anything from Argos again. Rubbish customer services!

why did they keep taking money when they clearly didn't have enough stock. Other sites at least say oos and don't let you order.

Good specs for the price.

This phone is shockingly good. Got my girlfriend one for Xmas because of specs and Xperias are known for quality builds. Camera is great too
Hopefully Ultra 6 will drop to £99 now (and not just at Asda)
The battery will last a day with light use, but use the browser for more than a couple of hours a day, or play some games, and the battery will be dead by 6PM (around 10-12 battery life with average use). The poor battery life was only made worse with the 5.1 upgrade.
Otherwise it's a nice phone for the price, too big for me though.
Good specs for the price.
Amazon warehouse is selling the Honor 6 for £179.95 atm (as used very good).
Bought one for my mum and its in perfect condition.
EDIT: Also if you have a nationwide account you can get £25 via rewards
How does this compare with he Aqua (other than the obvious waterproofing)?
Pretty fun.

Bought one for my mum on black Friday. Seems a good bit of kit for the price. In terms of battery life most phones are shocking. I know my S5 needs charging moswt days with minimal use but this doenst have a removal battery. However it does allow a mirco sd card to be put in.
Also if its the same mtk CPU that was in the god awful jiayu s3, then deffo the smart ultra 6. The sat nav was always off by 20m+ and phone ran hot and throttled a lot.

I nearly bought a Moto X Force earlier, lots of good deals about at last (has been a bit poor so far this winter, normally some great ones in January).
its time we had one deal where we don't get the SU6 in it. Not everyone is a fan of SU6
Would this phone suffice for a 10 year old that is developing their tech skills?
The Moto G has a history of good updates and bloat free Android which are part and parcel of why it's good, Sony don't really have the same track record in these areas. I "upgraded" to a Z1 from a 2nd gen Moto G and I honestly didn't feel like it was an upgrade at all, even once Lollipop came along. Best thing about it was was I got such a bargain I sold it for almost what I paid for it. Back to a Moto X Play now and I'm just hoping that Lenovo won't dilute what made Motorola great since Moto G too much, it's a fantastic phone and Marshmallow has made it even greater - 5% drop in battery in 14-15hrs when I wasn't using it!
is this better that the p8 lite. seems to have the same camera spec and internal memory.

SXperia C4 got 2650mAh battery
So the difference will be ONE DAY ??????
Come On guys!
Anyone else notice this? Also crept up an extra 100mb for no reason since.
That was my main issue with the phone apart from freezing once and becoming very hot. Also when making calls, the screen would go black and no buttons would respond. Issue with sensor when applying screen protector.
Battery should have had a higher mah but its main issue is its reliability.
Of course it has GPS, its not a Chinese phone.
All these apps are free. Worth giving it a try. You could also restore to factory settings and see how that goes.
Edit: check out the all the nationwide cashback on the rewards page.
£25 cash back on a £100+ Amazon purchase is a great one
Anywho the only thing the Honor 6 has over the P8 is a better battery and is lighter.
Have you already registered your Nationwide card?
Not sure if combining the offer with quidco 1.5% cashback voids any policys. Might wanna double check
Visa rewards link just incase.
thanks for the advice. Unfortunately Argos does not appear on my simply reward offer page.

If you have the 8gb model then the C4 will definately be an upgrade.
However even against the top moto g model, the C4 still has a slightly better battery, a higher screen resolution, faster processor and a bigger screen (which you may or may not prefer)
Side by side comparison between the two phones
I would still get an external memory card to save your photos, downloads etc on though. Keeping your internal memory less clogged up.
Edit: The C4 only takes Nano sim cards, so you have to get a new sim sent out to you
Its weird Argos saying they're out of stock, condidering its still for sale on the website...
I wonder if anyone wil get one? doubt it.
