Picked mine up yesterday, well worth £69.99 either as a gift or to keep. It is a Seiko Kinetic after all and will last a few years. I'm not sure I would have paid £299 for it in the first place but it's a decent watch at a very very good price, heat added. I think Argos are selling out fast so be quick.

Any stores says order now, collect in 4 days or 5 days will not be fulfilled. You will get cancellation text and email. This is because they don't have stock In their warehouse. This is a discounted item the clearing them from their stores. Look for order now and collect immediately.

Great watch until it discharges, It worked continously for around 2 years, It was taken off after a medical problem and hospital stay of 10 weeks. It never worked after that.:disappointed:

It is Seiko but it's not part of the Seiko 5 series. Seiko 5 are all automatic.

I still use an old seiko 5 from 1998 and it still goes great, although this one is a bit plain it's a bargain

Depends what you mean by decent, and how you plan to wear it. I've got the same watch with different colour face. If you get it fully charged it will carry on without further movement for several weeks. But unless you get it a very good charge from prolonged wear it will only last a couple of days. Fine for wearing Mon-Fri and will still be going on the Monday, but if you only wear it occasionally you'll never build up sufficient charge for it to keep going in a drawer for more than a day or two.

The model number in the Argos description is SKA629P1.
Googling that gives me exactly the same watch as the one I bought today.
The back of the watch gives a reference 5M62 0DE0. According to google that refers to a series of Seiko Kinetic watches with 100m water resistance.
So. The Argos ad is accurate.

It's probably the Saturday staff cottoning on to the huge profit potential and buying up all the stock after cancelling customer orders. I would expect to see loads appearing on eBay tomorrow at the £200+ mark.
Notice how the price of the item hasn't been changed on the website, and there are still stocks available in some parts of the UK?
It's not just Argos. Halfrauds and PC World staff are also notorious for this.

It's a techical glitch. Never had in store. Guy I spoke to said these were ebay stock. Went in to collect. Got txt confirmation. But nothing in stock or collected. Online stock numbers appear to be reporting wrong stock level.
