As above, and this allows you to directly connect it to Smartphones that support 'OTG'. Making file transfers etc easier.

I have one. I nice little device. Bit cheaper feeling than I expected, but does the job.

I load it with films, TV and Music, plug it into my Samsung S4, and then cast is to my Samsung TV over the network (Not Screen Mirroring, as that is laggy)

Perfect.

Good price, heat added.

Bought one of these a few weeks ago but this wouldn't work with my 3rd Gen Moto G. Tried reformatting it with FAT32, NTFS and exFAT without any success. Strangely it did work with a 1st Gen Moto G.

Also, the build quality is pretty poor...didn't think the sliding mechanism would last long so I sent mine back.

Did you first verify that the Moto G supports OTG connection? That might be the issue, because not all phones support this feature.

dont buy this. we have one at home for 6 months and it is already broken.....
it is really fiddly to bring the microusb or usb ports out and put them back in.

I bought one of these a few weeks back.. Really good things to have. I would say that it worth paying a bit more and get the ones that work on both android and ios
