The best deal i've found so far is an S7 8gig red value bundle on Vodaphone, with 24 months spotify (worth £239.76) for - £35.20 (normally £44 but my wife works NHS so we get the employee advantage discount). Theres a £99 up front cost, but you can get £90 Quidco on all new contracts of £44 and up which almost negates this, bringing the overall cost to £615.04. Take away the £569 cost of the phone new, which leaves your paying £46 (£1.92 a month) for unlimited mins/texts and 8gig 4g data.
Free VR headset worth £89 on all pre-orders to boot.

I know what you mean op but this is still one hell of a cost and you need a sim deal after you have done the 12 months. Not voting you cold as not many deals yet. I just don't think the s7 deals are realistic at the moment. I think we've the LG G5 and Sony Z6 hit the market there will be some new phone competition to bring the price down.

Ah - missed the 'edge' bit. But you can get the discount on top of Quidco, as long as you purchase through Vodaphone and not a third party like CPW, you can apply for it within 30 days of it being connected.
Do I qualify if I buy with Partners, Carphone Warehouse or Quidco?
No. To qualify for the Vodafone Advantage scheme you must buy directly from Vodafone. Purchases made online at vodafone.co.uk, in a Vodafone retail store or or by calling 08080 022 058 (lines are open seven days a week, 8am to 8pm. Calls are free from landlines and mobiles) will qualify for the scheme.

Pretty sure if it's not stated specifically on the website then you won't get the headset. CPW do it, as does Samsung direct and EE/Voda/Three direct, with O2 instead offering a Jabra sport pulse bluetooth earphone set worth £150 RRP (but £99.99 on amazon).

Start with gsmarena and then come back possibly for more berating of your closed minded thinking  In fact you miss the absolute obvious in 'sooo what exactly it will do so much better?' I already know that it has much better cpu/ram/screen resolution but how will it help me in my daily task of checking time/email/listening to radio and some occasional web browsing? are you sure that the 10x more expensive phone will do it soooo much better when already 10x less expensive one can do the same thing without a fault? It's not like I'm comparing an smartphone to a button phone since they both can make calls/text, that argument is just stupid...
Please educate a fool like me.

Kept in a raised case since day one. It won't...but you are not the type of market that's catered for...it's like buying a £1500 laptop when your needs will be fine for a £250 one. But as to your question it can do a hell of a lot more but you won't have use for it

It's water and dust resistant, it's a point and shoot camera in terms of quality (wouldn't need a camera for holiday, I didn't take one because I had my S6). It's faster and can do more things at once. Viewing content is more enjoyable (more comfortable if you want to compare it with the car analogy) I watch a lot of videos on my phone so it makes a difference. It charges faster and will last longer. It looks nicer. Soooooo, yeah.

hmm o2 won in the end.
Anyhow you are no different than those people who say why pay more for a nice swiss made automatic time piece when you can get a £10 casio from argos to do the same job or even more accurately.
In life there are two types of people. One that appreciate having nice quality items that they work hard for or the other who think everything is metal and plastic. Actually theres a third, the ones that show off and think they are super cool because they have the latest smart phone, etc.
I know which one i'd rather be and it's not the last two.
