Oh Common, you are not so ba at diggin' this but oneguy wud have been *uckin' hot if you posted this at £299(Of course with certain conditions that can be easily met.) The other deal on previous model:Samsung S6(not edge) from O2Refresh at £259 was more that 1.5k hot so just think about this at £299 <3.
I did this yesterday(new account) and received a validation call from their security team this morning which was quick and the item is on its way. With topcashback/quidco cashback, this is an awesome price.

Nah just rubbish maths. £23.90 quidco so around £299 after all cashback.

1 Feb 16#53
Not being thick but how did you arrive at £290? Unless Quidco tracked this for you @£399, which will be a double wammy as 7% CB should be on £319 after 20% voucher code.:sunglasses:

I wonder if it was a pricing error. The rest of the s6 range are reduced but by nowhere near as much as this.

Just beware of their returns policy, they're still quoting the sale of goods act not consumer rights act 2015 although it doesn't really matter because they ignore both. I'm having a nightmare with a faulty laptop, missing credit and waiting in for collections that haven't even been set up. That's even with director level involvement.
When it goes wrong with Shop Direct companies it does it in spectacular style.

You can't replace a screen properly for £30 on an S5 or S6. The digitizer has been fused to the LCD on many phones for quite some time now. I've not seen anyone do it properly as in remove the digitizer OCA or Loca glue the screen and it not have bubbles return in the screen at some point, even using a dedicated vacuum machine the bubbles will return. The S5 is also a difficult phone in which to replace the screen.

I'm not a fan of card slots on mobile phones, I've stated this quite a few times with regard to the S6, I understand why people want it though. The S7 will have to interface a very slow sd controller with the very fast internal storage, Samsung are one of the best at storage technologies, just make the minimum storage 64GB now. The iPhone 3GS had 32GB storage option 7 years ago. I'm considering the S7, although I've read many times that once Marshmallow comes to the S6 it fixes it.
My issue is Marshmallow is it's still beta (so can't use my Gear VR with it I believe) and I want HD calling and Wifi calling features of my carrier EE, which means waiting for Samsung then further waiting for EE, which realistically means another 5 or 6 months which is too long.

Very also do 12 months interest free on items over £199, as long as you remember to pay it off within the 12 months this could be an option if you dont have the cash to buy outright.

These are very easy to break while replacing, the battery is adhered to the screen... So the idea of handing my very expensive device to any old repair shop doesn't fill me with confidence. I get that it'll still work after 2 years but the battery life on these isn't brilliant to begin with. If Samsung had more repair centres it'd be fine as they don't charge anything astronomical for it to be replaced. Nevertheless good price for a good phone!

If it had an SD card slot I'd have got this ages ago. Here's hoping for the S7....

30 Jan 162#32
Phone looks brilliant in stores and would love one but can't justify spending all that money on a phone where once the battery has given up the ghost, it can't be replaced. Even for my iPhone 6 its a fairly easy job to do with some cheap tools. I Think the HTC One series are fantastic too but once the batteries butchered its no use to anyone. Happy with my LG G3 anyway but it's a shame.
Rich44 to leelukehope

It can be replaced just means visiting a local phone repair place, if they can replace a screen for £30 I doubt a battery is going to cost a lot, my replaceable S5 battery is coming up on 2 years old and I haven't replaced that yet so I wouldn't worry too much about it

Fantastic hardware, useless OS. Will only start to be decent with Marshmallow, which will be after the S7 is released no doubt.

What's wrong with the OS? And what will Marshmallow do that improves it?

Except the best bit of M is SD card adoption and the S6 doesn't support SD cards, I know there's a lot of other stuff too but imho that's the biggy finally sorting the internal/external storage mess that's existed since day 1.
I see that Samsung has been running a beta trial on M with S6 users so i'm guessing that it'll be out quite soon, we still don't have a firm announcement on the S7 so that's not likely to hit the shelves very soon.
Unless the S7 brings back waterproofing and SD card support (rumours both ways at present) then looks like i'll be hanging onto my S5 for another year....

With a code. Surely the APR only applies if you are stupid enough to use their credit facility and not pay balance in full when statemented?
Well thats what I hope anyway. Made the order. £323 with delivery and quidco already tracked and made a payment online so no credit to worry about. Hopefully works, will be £298 ish all in.
BDW, cheers OP. Wife has been doing my head in for ages to get this and I was waiting for s7 to lurk its head in March, I imagine when the price drops it will be around £300 initially for the edge so this is a good deal!

for anyone considering it, let me say the marshmallow update literally does wonders for this phone. I don't blame samsung. Lollipop was a POS all round. With marshmallow, everything is very fluid, especially scrolling which is just damn awful on lollipop. Battery life is also less affected by android os, still not great, but a lot better

I have owned an S6 since around April last year, the OS Lollipop is just awful, full of bugs and the battery life of the phone is horrendous. I've been reading the XDA thread regarding the Marshmallow Beta release on the S6 and even in beta it's making the phone a much better experience. The S6 still currently has the best hardware until phones with Kirin 950, Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 (Samsung only) come out.
One thing I will say that's made me glad to own an S6 is the Samsung Gear VR, that is a fantastic bit of kit which has made me feel less bitter at owning an S6

Marshmallow has all the battery perks. Doesnt matter to some phones like the Xperia z3 as Sony added them to the ptevoius os anyway.
But on phones like the s6 its needed, badly.
