This phone is turning out to be the Royal Royce in the Mobile Phone market. Despite being two years old, it's one of the best phones in the market. It's also, sadly, probably the last phone Samsung are making where the battery is replacement and not built in. With a replaceable battery, you can buy an more powerful battery giving you more phone usage.

I was hoping that post-2015 Christmas and New Years sales, this phone would drop in price but was proved wrong - it is still going strong.

Now, I know, people will be quick to judge the phone or my comment, but I'm truly giving my opinion based on the fact that no other phone out there that can match it or it's stability on the phone market.

Great phone however at this price you might just as well just buy an imported Note 5, well unless you want microSD and removable battery. At this point might as well wait, they're bound to announce the Galaxy S7 and Note 6.

note 5 is the bees knees for like 100 more better battery life and performance

Not good value for money for a phone released in 2014. The note 5 not released in Europe is to blame for these high prices

Does it have up to date android OS?

Hmm I have had a note 4 then got a iPhone 6 Plus company phone - want to go back to the note 4 as iPhones is meh an iPhone - after hearing about note 5 and worse battery and non replaceable plus no sd card it's a non brained to get the note 4 - my question is what can I get better with that screen / power and battery life / removable battery and sd card slot ? Nexus to bulky and boring looking ! Any suggestions please

This or a Moto X Style?

I have the S6 which I don't like because it has Lollipop installed on it. The Moto X Style is inferior in most specs to the S6, so what made you like the larger Moto X Style over the S6?

Galaxy A9 (not the tablet): due out last month - ~400 GBP or less (keep an eye on google). Looks to be better than the Note4+5 minus a stylus.

Still kicks alot of phones butt...

Paid £144 after discounts @ Amazon recently for a virtually brand new Note 4. Didn't need it (already have a S6 Edge 64gb) but price was too good to turn down.

Interesting ! Can I wait ? Hmm - massive screen but not sure if removable battery and or sd slot ! Not a massive deal but be nice to change battery myself when it really dies

Much rather get a g4 for £225, oneplus 2 for £250 or even spend £40 more and get a nexus 6p.

Great phone though, had one for a while before getting a 6p.

Had mine for well over a year and a half now. Have no desire to upgrade, which is unheard of for me. Removable battery, SD slot and pen still swinging it for me. When a mobile comes along that has all these and more, I'll upgrade ;-)

the long and short of it for myself is the battery and slot. the phone is great but to have a captive battery and no slot?

I've had this phone for about 9 months now and I honestly can't fault it. The display is amazing and I've got a 128GB SD card in it that holds pretty much everything I need. I use the stylus a lot for general note taking and stuff so I'd struggle if I was forced to go back to using the crappy soft keyboard on a normal phone. You would honestly not regret getting this phone.

Had one for over a year now. Great phone. I have the spare battery and portable charger which is invaluable. Also have a large SD card with thousands of songs on it. The phone fits my needs perfectly. Nothing else can compare.

Reading in most places that no receipt/ original invoice no repair - anyone legit who has had this issue arise able to put any light on this ? Samsung warranty / eBay purchase .

LG G4, £299.99 at ebuyer currently. Used to be exclusive to the Samsung flagship phones, but ever since the sealed battery/no sd coupled with the Note 5 release debacle I've given up. Heres hoping the S7 brings back the flame to Samsung. Gotta G4 and a couple genuine extra battery kits for less than this price.

​Can you find and post a better price? The price reflects how good it is - difficult to improve on it. Low prices simply reflect poor phones that are difficult to shift.

Crazy how we've not had the Note 5. Expecting us to not get the Note 6 either. Seems like Samsung only wanna have the S7 and S7 edge as the flagships here this year. Anyway, I'm glad I went for the Nexus 6P. Don't miss my Note phone and my interest in future Note phones has gone as well.

​Personally I'd go for the G4. Only 0.2inches smaller in screen. Awesome camera, more powerful (just), great battery life, removable battery, additional storage and can be had quite a bit cheaper than this. It's not as premium in build materials but with a case on you'd never know.

Also a wild card that doesn't quite tick all your boxes but is an excellent phone in its own right, the Meizu Pro 5 64gb (Amazon). Tad more expensive and with local stylus but is more powerful, has a great camera, is beautiful, doesn't have touchwiz and has very good battery by all accounts.

black version back in stock but Amazon strangely have increased price to £384.99! its a great phone as I own one but at nearly £400 for a 2 year old handset its not good deal.

The Note 5 is due for imminent release in the UK, so this may drop in price.

If buying a 2nd hand/import note 5, anyone know which model to look for which will work in UK esp with Vodafone
