Got the 8kg 1600rpm spin one for £479 from Currys and what a truly stunning machine almost silent even when running a full speed spin. Now use less detergent & wash at 20C most if the time now too and everything comes out brilliantly. The programmes are very flexible & find the bubble soak option works really well.
I don't know about longevity or reliability as haven't had it that long yet our previous a 1600rpm Hoover lasted 15 years (3 sets of brushes in that time) but with that 5 year warranty I'm not worried at all.
Don't forget you MUST REGISTER FOR THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY

Bought ours in january sales and its something i wish we'd bought years ago. So quiet, smooth, massive load capacity, fast, clothes come out nearly dry, much softer feel to the clothes than ever before and even seems to have refreshed some old clothes.

These ecobubbles seam to do a good job at actually washing clothes well and look stylish/good, but it seams that everyone who has had one long term have needed to use the warranty on at least a few occasions so expect it to be uneconomical to repair after its warranty elaspes.

Within the first 2 weeks I had to call an engineer out 3 times and over 2 years there were a further 2 call outs ( the first appliance was exchanged ) .
The warranty on mine ran out in December last year and last week the control unit failed.
The service network that Samsung use is also a little bit iffy as they don't actually employ their own and you can get some right cowboys turn up!
Like others have said though, it's a fantastic machine when it works.

I figure if it only lasts 5 years it's still cost under £100 a year which is pretty good.
To contrast cheap washer from Argos £229 some Candy thing with 2 year warranty add extra year to warranty £89.99 & that only covers you for 3 years so costs £106/year and it won't be anywhere near as good at its job. So I reckon these Samsung machines are really good value this one is £85.80/year so much better value imho

It seems like a slightly different model? The e5 is e3 at ao model and the x is w. I presume the end letter is just the colour code. Is there any other differences apart from colour? The one at ao seems to have a lower Rrp so am worried it's a lower end model.

From the specs it is exactly the same, i ordered it from ao.com because currys didn't have it for delivery when i looked and my car is not big enough to collect it from store and £30 cheaper.

Yeah, I've had a look and it does seem to be the same model just a different colour. White would probably look better in our kitchen so this does seem a decent deal. How did you get £27 Quidco though? I think it would only be 1% because of using a voucher code, makes it like £4.

Does the warranty cover wear and tear?
In my experience, no machine will last 5 years without needing bearings if used regularly. Probably built into the drum so this would also have to be replaced.

I was thinking of getting a Miele with 10 years warranty. But then I thought, they're £800 minimum. Why don't I just get a £400 washing machine with 5 years warranty, like this Samsung, then *if* it breaks after 5 years just get another one for £400 with another 5 years warranty... Benefit of that is latest model after 5 years and also the possibility that it actually won't break after 5 years and last even longer before shelling out another £400. More cost effective option than an £800+ Miele, surely..

Well, I've read the specs sheets on the Samsung website for both the WF90F5E5U4W and the WF90F5E3U4W. They're identical in every way. Since the WF90F5E5U4W / WF90F5E5U4X is now £449 at Currys, and the WF90F5E3U4W is £399 at AO, makes sense to buy from the latter and save £50. That said there's now the LG FH4U2VCN2 , also £399 at Currys and seems to be very much the same!

No doubt this is a good price, but I just can't understand why it's getting 452 degrees heat while the deal for the LG FH4U2VCN2 is getting only 62 degrees.
Both washing machines have exactly the same specs (9kg, 1400rpm, A+++, 5yr warranty).. But this Samsung is £30 more than the LG.
