Thought this was a cracking deal on reliable (10 year warranty) luggage and nice combo for strolling through the airport too ;)
Was posted a few weeks ago at £77 http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/samsonite-twin-piece-luggage-set-76-99-costco-2385378
but appears now dropped in price to £64.99, if like me you are not a costco member then you have to pay an extra 5% but no delivery charge so total price would be £68.24
Hope it helps someone as we head towards summer holiday season :)

There is stock in store for £59.99 (vat included), so £5 cheaper at Costco Sheffield. Probably in other stores as likely a clearance line.
Worth a trip (yes IF you're a member etc, etc.)

I take it the handle part isn't an issue in a real life situation?

I just went and measured mine and can confirm the following measurements:
55cm (not incl the handle) x37cm x21cm (as long as you dont use the expandable front part) so quite a lot small overall than the actual dimensions of 56cmX39cmX26cm
In fact looking at the print below I would suggest you should be fine on every airline with this bag as long as you dont overpack it.

Was doing some luggage shopping at the weekend. Took a tape measure along and almost all of the bags I looked at were actually slightly smaller than their stated dimensions. With this in mind, I'd be surprised if this was actually 56cm and I wouldn't worry about it not fitting in a size gauge.

I don't think it would, and I really wouldn't risk it - it just takes one bolshy member of check-in staff to apply the rules rigorously and any savings made from this deal will be more than wiped out, plus it's another thing to worry about with all the other stresses of flying.

Same for Monarch. Surely if it's just 1cm though, it will still squeeze into their size gauge???

dont need this but bargain price, and samsonite is the best!
I have had a samsonite 4 wheel trolley for about 4 years now. Lots of use and still feels new. Other wheels just cease but up these is nice and smooth still. Thanks OP!

Thanks... just checked and most airlines have 55cm limit as max for cabin laugage, whilst this bag is 56cm... Proceed with caution if purchasing for air travel.

Didn't get on with spinners - found two-wheeled cases much more comfortable to pull (because of the angle of the handle) and they stay put when you let go of them.
Is this "10 year warranty" riddled with disclaimers that would exclude it from any real-world claims?

Hello, i have this set ( i bought from costco a few months ago ) really good quality - great price ( considering what you pay for the case part from samonite shop ) - rucksack is very good and well thought out

From the dimensions it looks like the spinner won't be able to get on Ryan Air, did you ever managed to get on a flight ?

Indeed, personally I like traveling with the combo like this for business trips of a day or two but appreciate some might like to drag two separate cases too.
I should have also mentioned check with the airlines you use as to their case measurements for hand luggage as some e.g. emirates have smaller widths and this spinner could be a little too big unfortunately
EDIT 2 - See later post, having measured this in reality it appears to meet all major airlines max hand luggage recommendations but please dont take my word for it

Only one is a spinner the other is a rucksack. Spinners are great though!
