I saw these in Tesco today also for £6 but the Amazon reviews put me off.

Haven't looked at reviews so don't know what complaints have been, but I've had a set of these since last May and they've always done me well (daily use).
I had to send some parcels at Christmas, and comparing said parcel weight on these to the post offices scales there was hardly anything in it (a few grams at most which would be about 1% out). Nice price for them

Like others, found no end of problems with mine. Worked fine for over a year then started saying battery was low/flat.
Replaced battery and was fine for a few days then said the same. Replaced batteries again and same thing happened.

If you ever want to claim under the Salter waranty, they will insist that you produce a paper receipt otherwise they will not help you.
Mine is now taped to the underside of the scales.

All supermarkets have them reduced, if they have any stock left. I bought mine from Sainsburys for £7.50, Asda had it for £7 and Tesco £9.99 iirc

You just need to look at the reviews on Amazon to see how cr*p these are:

Replaced back in store - broke again.
3rd attempt I used one leg weight - broke a third time.
Rubbish.

Reported to the RSPCS (The Royal Society for the Protection of Scales) making them scream before killing them should be an offence. :man:
Maybe buy 4 and put 2 under each foot? :stuck_out_tongue:
