Mono ones look alright. Colour ones look gross.

Avoid these, I had the coloured ones and the paint used to flake off all the time.

The mono set I had haven't flaked at all after 6 months of daily use. Same price as op posted in first comment.

When I looked at these knives in Tesco... that's exactly what I thought would happen as well. Sooner or later, paint will always chip off! Even if it doesn't, Stainless Steel is much easier to clean than paint. A good quality set of knives should last a lifetime!

I bought some today, 10 year guarantee... Have kept the box and the receipt. For £12.49 I honestly don't see it as a gamble...

Nice wife spent hours butchering deer roadkill the other day think I might buy her a better set of knives, ta
I use the one on the left, have done for 15 years, pretty easy to snick it into the joint socket or to bowl round the knee/elbow to dettach. Trained in an abattoir and it comes in handy for Deer now and again

The question is why do they sell crap bread knives, you want bigger teeth on the blade.
They're ok for the price but like all knives they go blunt so some sharpening device should be bought to maintain the edge, i prefer a steel but there are other things that will more or less do the same job, personally not fan of this faddy colouring of tools but horses for courses.

These look exactly like the ones I got in Addition about 18 months back for a tenner, although they came with stand.
Can't comment on the paint flaking as they're hardly used but they certainly brighten up the kitchen.
