One day I'd like to set one up as a washing machine flood alarm (turning off a solenoid valve, sounding an alarm and notifying my phone) and another as a humidistat to control a dehumidifier.

I don't think it is. zero has faster cpu, less ram. Get four of these for the that price. The combined power and ram of all four, should wipe mode b away

Free on the copy of magpi issue 40 I believe it was. Also subscribed to the magpi (post on here). You get issue 40 again and two copies of the magpi (3 in total)
