Not the best of its type, that goes to Gtechniq G1, this is cheap though. So voted HOT.

I found the cleaner version in a spray bottle worked best over this

This stuff is good for cars that don't have a rear wiper.

I've got a bottle of Rain Away that I bought around a year ago, but haven't used it yet. Does anybody know if this is any good - the other day on this site, some people were saying that this type of product is really bad as it causes smearing? Thank you.

good for rear and side windows, but wouldn't use it for front windscreen.if you don't keep it topped up it will cause smearing.

I did have an issue with this product causing my front windscreen wipers to judder when they were used. I've somehow managed to stop this now, I think a good old clean of the windscreen making sure that its sparkling clean and dry before application helps. I'd also advise letting the first layer to dry before reapplying a second layer to enhance its effects and longevity.
It's good stuff, works amazingly well in really wet conditions when driving at speed (e.g motorways and dual carriageways). The anti-fog stuff is OK too if your car suffers from condensation on the inside of windows.

Would this help stop staining on a shower screen?

my honda civic doesn't have a rear wiper so all cars don't have wipers.

this is brilliant as people say when raining and at highish speeds rain just beads off, but i have found it to smear and smear quite bad , i only really use it on side windows now

I've used it for years & it never smeared my motorcycle helmet visor, which I'd argue is mort important to get right than a car window, the visors are polycarbonate though so maybe that has something to do with the non smearing

This works well until you use your wipers, when it smears. Heavy rain beads off, light rain doesn't. Light rain needs wiping with your wipers, and it causes a haze across your screen that will last a second or more, enough to put you off using this again.
Side windows, back windows, mirrors - all excellent, as I am sure it would be for bike visors - providing the material isn't weakened by this product!

smears with wipers , sorry i wasnt clear, guess thats why it works well with your visor
