-Quaker Oats Oat So Simple Golden Syrup Flavour 10 Sachets 360g.
-Quaker Oats Oat So Simple Original 12 Sachets 324g
I appreciate that many people prefer to make porridge from scratch ( I am one of them), but this a deal for those who like the convenience of the sachets.
Indeed I used to take them to work for a quick filling breakfast.
Morrisons = normally £2.45 currently on offer for £1.00
Tesco = £2.45 any 2 for £4.00
Sainsbury's = £2.45 any 2 for £4.00
Waitrose = £2.45 any 2 for £4.00
Ocado = £2.45 any 2 for £4.00
ASDA = £2.44

A big spoonful of crunchy peanut butter and a squidge of honey. That's the way I roll. ;-) Also nice if you then add some chopped banana too.

Golden syrup flavour is full of sugar so not really a healthy breakfast. Stick with the original if you must buy these packets and just add some honey for a much healthier start to the day. I have mine with a spoonful of peanut butter and honey, easily keeps me going till lunch.

Peanut butter? I have never heard of that combination but I am somewhat tempted by it :smile:
Maple Syrup is nice in porridge too.... it's just hard trying to find the good stuff at a 'deal' price

Technically speaking, Honey is a refined sugar though in my opinion better for you and much nicer :smiley:.
I uses these in work because I have loads that I have stocked up on from previous deals. When I eventually run out am going back to traditional oats. 2 to one ratio of milk & oats plus what ever you like I make my own stewed apple). Microwave for 3 minutes, checking it doesn't boil over. Yummy breakfast for a good healthy start to the day

Don't buy the golden syrup version because of sugar. Buy the original and add sugar instead. :stuck_out_tongue:
I assume you mean you add a teaspoon not a tablespoon!

Really? (*scratches head*) These prices are bewildering, I did a search online and on the website it says they are £2.44 at ASDA but it does seem that the big family packs are £2 which is a good deal.
Do prices vary from store to store and online as well? Its so hard to keep track of them all.
I do know the deal price at Iceland of 95p seems to still be the best out there but I thought the other store prices I quoted were all correct but now I'm wondering if they vary more than the price they show online.

they just have original flavour which is dull and not tasty plus you will need to add sugar.

Well it's a deal, however the product is over priced. Simply buy normal quaker oats, add milk microwave 90 seconds same result 1/3 of the price :smiley: Like Princessjellybean hated porridge as a kid. love it now :-D

I have old skool regular type porridge (gluten free) made only with water, and to this I add a squeeze of golden syrup.
I sometimes eat it like this, other times i may add a tablespoon of ground almonds to make it creamy, or a sprinkle of ginger to make my gingerbread porridge, or a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a sprinkle of mixed spice (which makes it taste like those German spiced biscuits).
I also often add a spoon of dried mixed fruit, the kind with bits of peel in; because i like the citrus zing.
Other times i forgo the syrup and add a big spoon of bon maman blueberry conserve in instead and thats lush too.
I eat it everyday for breakfast and if Im peckish late evening, then too.
Love, love love porridge...... hated it as a kid though, was in my late 30's when I was converted as a result illness and being unable to digest little else of a breakfasty nature. <3 Porridge <3
