They might be nice but 18 quid for a pizza! Or a bargain 19 quid for 2.
it's dough with a few toppings. How on earth do they get away with it. Hard times? I don't think so.

Looks like they've hiked the price up on their pizzas & toppings anyway. I will not be going there again.
Large Cheese & tomato was 9.99, now its 11.99. Ridiculous!
All toppings are now 1.30 and used to be 1.25.
I only used to buy them when it was BOGOF but i will not bother at all anymore, shame.

They've hiked it up at certain stores! I just checked after you said that.
Dominoes Orpington (Kent) where I go has a Small cheese & tomato (with 1x olives and 1x pineapple) for £9
Dominoes Burgess Road Southampton (Hampshire) where I sometimes go has the exact same pizza for £11
Seriously

This a deal? 50% off vouchers or 2 for Tuesday works out cheaper.

No idea why people 'love' dominos. Overpriced, under topped and tasteless. I've eaten better from the freezer section of a supermarket. Try your local pizzeria or get off your backside and make your own...

Different type of food, I guess... a home made pizza is nice when I feel like taking the time, my local pizza restaurant is good for a nice sit down meal, and the delivery chains do a better line in accompanying beer, football or movie marathons.
That said, I only eat pizza about once a month these days.

Dominos is gross, probably some of the worst pizza I've ever had in my life

Probably due to the students, Burgess road Dominoes is so close to campus! :P

Anyone that thinks pizza takeaway is overpriced, just does not get the amazing natural high that some people get from the paricular combination of salt/fat/sugar/spice and lack of washing up.

You can get a double decker pizza from the Deli Counter at ASDA for £5. I've had Pizza from Pizza Hut and Dominoes and they are usually just greasy and not all that when they cost over a tenner. The ASDA ones are far far better.

Couldn't agree more. We like ASDA and MORRISONS pizzas much better than the PHut or Domino's ones.

Until you can buy pizza from Asda/Tesco/Sainsburys/Morrisons that are cooked on fresh dough bases in pizza ovens and delivered to your door, I feel them being used as a constant 'better' alternative should be rendered null and void.

If you've got a Costco membership their hand made Pizzas are superb and cost a lot less than these dominos , pizza hut rip offs.

If you just want one pizza there is usually an offer on for any size pizza collection only for £9.99

Why don't people just go to like literally any other takeaway other than Dominos or Pizza Hut? Costs me £5 for 12" Meat Feast with fries and a drink, more or less every takeaway has that offer and there pizzas are miles better. People are stupid...

Good for you, Kebab shop pizza is horrible where I live.
This deal is not as good as two for Tuesday or midweek madness (order before 6, get 50% off your order)

Love Dominos Pizza but there deals are all ways rubbish, they seem to be for groups and not home alone people, Why is it you need to spend over £11.99 for delivery....
Yet you go on there app and can get 2 topping medium pizza for something like £6.99 if you pick up, so they want £4 for delivery....
You can go to a local pizza shop and get delivery, if you spend over £8 for free if you live 3 miles from it

Yeah I don't get this, either. I don't think I've ever had a good kebab shop pizza. They usually just take a cheap base out of a freezer, put on analogue cheese and then you get bog standard toppings.
Kebab shops also tend to have the lowest food hygiene ratings as well.
Paying less generally tends to mean less quality, from my experience.

Wow, people are fussy. Depends on the Takeaway I guess, but in my experience Dominos are no better than half the kebab shops, you're mostly paying for the brand name.
Also I've never seen them take a base out of a freezer, always watch them make it by hand.

our Dominos does a £5 lunch special for a large pizza with two toppings although they dont advertise it in the window any more they still do it when you ask for it.

You're somebody with local knowledge  That fish and chip shop on Burgess Road has also shrunk their student fish and chip portion size - massively.
Would you recommend any takeaways in the area, in particular? :stuck_out_tongue:

I'd love to say I have recommendations but I'm unfortunately more of a restaurant person when I eat out! There's some great new places opposite Turtle Bay in the city, which include GBK, and I've heard really good things about that x

I quite like going to Slug and Lettuce (especially on Mondays when they have half price off food, but not drinks) and Handmade Burger Co in West Quay is really good, too! If you're in Portswood, there's 7Bone and Gandhi's which offer amazing food!:smiley:

I have been to about 5-6 different dominoes stores since I do some travelling now and then and I have noticed that the quality of each pizza is different in each store :/ some branches under-topped, some overcooked etc and the other few have made absolutely delicious pizzas! In conclusion, really depends on the branch but anyways, great deal for a small group! heat!
Opening post
On till Sunday night.
