Possibly cheaper direct from Motorola UK with discount codes. It's £250 there but If you can get the 10% new customer or 15% unidays codes to work, it would be £225 or £212.50 with free customisation and free delivery.

Finally received phone today, and first impressions are very good. Not so impressed with Amazon.fr. Easy enough to place the order, and when I did have issues they were decent enough to deal with them in English. But the first phone they shipped got lost by Amazon Logistics sometime after arriving in Nottingham. They made me wait a week to be sure it was lost before arranging a new delivery. Carrier was UPS this time, and they took 2 days to deliver from Tamworth (20 min drive from where I live). I have never had service this poor from Amazon.co.uk, and I wonder if shipping to another country was partly to blame. Still, I didn't know where else to get this dual-SIM model, and I am glad to have finally taken delivery. Thanks again OP.

Sounds like bad luck there, I got mine within a couple of days of ordering this phone from Amazon France.

And be stuck with a single sim version  Which whilst good for many people isn't what this deal is for, it's for dual sim

I can't see anywhere it says 10% new customer discount - I've added a 32GB one to basket and signed in, but price stays at £289.

Phone supports Turbo Charging but the charger in the box is not.
not at the same time, you choose one for data, the other one drops back to 2g so don't be using a 3 sim as secondary  I use bt mobile (EE network) as primary and talkmobile payg (vodafone) as secondary

Good phone this. One annoying thing though, no sole silent mode. Has to be on vibrate and can get annoying.

Indeed. Plus the Redmi Note 2 should be appreciably faster if the benchmarks are to be believed.

I posted same/similar deal a month ago Link
Got mine via Amazon France, easy to do using Google Chrome translate, came within couple days, use your own credit card to pay in euros rather than use Amazons 'helpful' auto conversion that will probably cost you more to use.
Mine has the Marshmallow update and works well.... very pleased with the dual sim features, it's like a real upgrade to the dual sim Moto G 2nd gen I had.

Don't try to stack the discounts on Motorola.co.uk - they cancelled my order due to this last week for the Moto X 2nd Gen.

I bought my moto x play from amaxzon fr, no hassles, i paid in euros but with the card charges from my bank (halifax) i may as well have paid amazon in GBP. no hassles at all, and it's already had the OTA marshmallow upgrade:) battery lasts a couple of days and no hassles with the phone.
EDIT:- I can also add I bought a "like new" one which was like new and absolutely unmarked which at the time saved me over £30 on the price of brand new  the difference doesn't seem as large now though.

Grab something like this from Amazon:
