Pipo X9 @ 59.81 from China Warehouse.

Reasonable price, although as the far-east holidays are about to start, any order placed early Feb probably won't ship until mid-Feb earliest so very likely earliest delivery could be well into March, by which time there could be a better deal and / or more attractive Z8300-based alternative becoming available. Plus after a 5-6week wait, you could be hit with circa £22 import-related fees.

I almost bought one last time bg had 'em on special! only managed to stay away as
a) I dont need one! and
b) the heat these units give off is, by all accounts, enough to cook a full English on... missed out on the mag/steak deal, might have to get this to console myself...

Interesting device... It has a touch screen so it doesn't need a monitor but it has PC-level connectivity.
I has no battery and you wouldn't want to use it as a tablet but it scores over the TV sticks in terms of functionality (losing out on discreteness).
A niche PC that might suit some people very well (i.e. a well-connected Media PC, controllable without putting the TV on or getting out the keyboard / mouse).
1920 x 1200 is probably overkill but at least you can screen-mirror at Full HD, unlike WXGA tablets.

Good if you wanted to use one as a point of sale terminal for a shop. Bundle iZettle with Android and you have yourself a cheap POS.

great device. I use one in-car to control radio, mp3s, kids' headrest monitors for videos, etc. via PC in the boot mind! cheap little screen with bonus connectivity.

I agree completely. Got one of these last time they were on here - worked for 30 minutes then died. Gearbest would not pay for the return of the item (as it was faulty they should have done). As I didn't trust them to refund even if I did send it back I opened a Paypal dispute and sent the item back via instructions from the Resolution Centre. Even though the item came from the EU warehouse it had to go back to China (£12 postage) then, when it got there Gearbest would not accept the package! The courier company then wanted £46 to return it to me or £26 to destroy it!! Luckily Paypal refunded the cost of the item but I'm still communicating with the courier saying I'm not responsible for any charges due to Gearbest's actions.........

Anyone got one of these? Is it possible to replace the hard drive or is it just flash memory?

Looking at images of X8 - it is all onboard - everything is soldered and zero ports/sockets

The Atom Z3736f is actually a decent cheapy CPU. My tablet runs windows 10 on it. Thanks to a hardware h462 decoder it can play 1080p YouTube videos and playback my [email protected] vids (via windows media player)

Awesome little device - bought the last time they were on a deal at Gearbest. Took around 2 weeks to arrive from time of paying with no import charges what-so-ever, and was shipped from China.
Sit's at home in use as a HTPC with a 2TB Ex-HD connected. I guess it's luck of the draw as to whether you actually get your product delivered from gearbest but they were generally very helpful with any questions I asked and I couldn't be happier with this machine for £50!

Do not be put off of buying this device. This is a fantastic little unit for £50, a full PC shipping with Android and Windows 10.1 - the massive antenna is for WiFi, but you wouldn't use this as a tablet anyway. You also can't extend the RAM but again, don't need to tbh.
