Raspberry Pi 2 and B+ enclosure with space for the Pi camera. Normally £4.79 inc VAT.
The spec says:
"Studs for construction blocks fitting on enclosure"
As a way of avoiding saying you can stick lego to it.
They can also stack because they have reciprocal holes underneath so you can buld a tower of Raspberry Pis.
I already have one and the Pi fits in very securely and it looks very neat assembled, it feels well made.
Considering the typical prices for Raspberry Pi cases and with the added functionality of this one, I think its a good deal and may be useful to someone.
Available in Black, White, Red, Yellow and Blue.
This price can be had by adding 03 to the end of the product code:
Black: SC1385903
White: SC1386003
Red: SC1386103
Yellow: SC1386303
Blue: SC1386203
To get free delivery you will need to spend over £5 before VAT, otherwise it's comparable with the price of the case, unfortunately.

Deal is still on and I can confirm the Pi 3 fits in this case. Only problem is they have moved the activity LEDs so they no longer line up with the holes. With one of the lighter coloured cases you can still see some of the LED light through the case a bit.

Thank OP really nice looking case for a good price. I normally get the ones for under a pound from AliExpress but this looks really cheap for this type of case. Also RP PSUs from RS are £3.60ish + VAT. Heat+

No issues here streaming HD muti-GB blu ray rips MKV from NAS and Plex. Also internet streams work fine including Youtube and TV from USB tuner (RP in another room) all flawless with surround sound HD and SD. I'm using OpenElec.

Worth pointing out that a case only increases the need for a heatsink by reducing air circulation. I run dozens of overclocked pi's 24/7 for years with no case or heatsinks - they are quite robust enough not to need cases - we've not lost one yet.
arthurplank to dazigster

They don't need heatsinks
But also they look a mess without a case and someone else in the house might moan about the way they look.
The flipside is, they look really nice in a case; but if you prefer bare boards then simply carry on and don't buy one.

so the prices on the site state they include VAT but it charges you VAT again in the checkout... what's that about

I'm deeply disappointed with my pi 2 as a kodi streaming device. It just seems horribly slow and unresponsive and HD streams rarely buffer more than about 20 seconds despite us having a fast internet connection. Has anyone else had better luck with it?

I haven't no, experienced the same. Once it's working it's fine for streams but navigation etc can be really slow. I notice problems mostly on HD streams though and not pre-recorded movies/tv shows etc. regardless of quality.

I have used both Kodie and now using Plex with no issues with lag or streaming, I stream all mine locally. Sounds like your trying to stream from some dodgy free movies sites (will always be rubbish) pay as already suggested.

Prob best to stick to kodi and openelec forums mate. However, the RPi2 is a solid performer and can handle just about anything. I dont have a bad word to say about it. Usually issues are due to the setup and environment of the individual. As others have said, stick with openelec as its optimised for the hardware. Personally I rarely stream using the various addons, too much hassel. Some of these addons can cause performance issues and the weak links are your connection and the host serving the stream. If streaming is your thing then pay for it. Also, if youve bought one of these preloaded boxes off of flea bay then start again, it will be full of junk. I throw full BD rips at mine from my NAS with zero issues, no overclocking. Setup as it comes. I'd also recommend offloading your audio by bistreaming to an AVR.

I use OSMC on my Pi B+ with a Hifiberry DAC+ and I am very pleased with the results for streaming and user interface responsiveness.

Another vote for osmc. Runs fine on my Pi2, but I don't do HD. You can download osmc as an image too, so no installation work.

If you open your OpenElec files on the MicroSD card. Open the file called config, txt
Add your overclock settings at the end of all the writing, and then save the file. Reboot the raspberry and it will run at the overclock settings you choose. CPC are doing 2 decent cheap copper heatsinks cheap at the moment. The Raspberry will probably still not run as fast as your laptop but it will be a lot quicker. Good guide here http://linuxonflash.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/a-look-at-raspberry-pi-2-performance.html I hope this helps.

Yeah I've been using openelec for months but it's always been slow and unresponsive. I tend to use Genesis and going back to the menu while you're watching a stream takes a minimum of 10 seconds and often a lot longer. Artwork takes an age to download too so navigating through multiple pages is an exercise in frustration. Kodi is lightning fast on my laptop so I know it's an issue with my Pi openelec setup or settings or with the Pi itself not being powerful enough.

its already set up to overclock in openelec it just goes to turbo mode when it's required then back down again when idle,
but you can change that by putting your SD card into your laptop and changing the text in there

Could you link me to somewhere that details how to do this? That would be much appreciated.
Also what is turbo mode?
