I know Currys/PC World also has a 5 year guarantee, but personally I wouldn't buy from anywhere but John Lewis any more (and not just for TVs)....I'd even pick them over the 6 year from Richer Sounds.

It looks like the TV comes with a 5-year Panasonic warranty, so it'll be the same no matter where you buy from (RS's extra year perhaps excluded). Hot if you have a discount code or employee discount at Currys/PC World :smiley:
Was very tempted myself but the lack of 3D kills the deal unfortunately.

Not sure why the "bubble has burst" on curved TV's.. Samsung, lg and Panasonic have all announced new top end curved tvs for 2016 and it seems this is the future direction of TV's. Every time I go into a place that sells TV's the curved ones look better. Image quality is amazing and the viewing experience on non curved displaying the same feed just isn't as good. I'm going.to buy curved next!

Same here...had a curved mounted and it looked ridiculous, returned and replaced with a larger flat for the same price, win win all around.

I wall mounted a 65" curved Sony recently, it looks terrible with the ends sticking out off the wall.

Foolish to buy a 4K TV that doesn't support HDR. It's akin to buying a TV a few years ago without HDMI, when HDMI already launched and everybody knew about it.

It was cheaper than this at coopelectrical last month, £899 + they had a £50 voucher when a mate bought it and is prob why coop is sold out, so for me that says cold as tv's dont go up in price
Coop only 12 m warranty so not like for like .personally wouldn't touch a TV with just 12 m warranty even with the so called fit for purpose EU law.

I tried to get them to price match a week or so ago on a Samsung TV, this is what I got back:
As per the terms and conditions on the RGB Direct website: “Please note that deliveries once booked cannot be changed, any cancellation, failed or refused delivery will incur a redelivery charge. All items will be delivered to the ground floor only.” These conditions are not comparable to those found at John Lewis.
Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot match the price offered by RGB Direct.

Yeah we will not price match because errr the curtains in the shop are red and ours are errr blue ....
I had the same with other companies I found cheaper, I found one place that was
1. A bricks and mortar store
2. Cheaper price
3. Deliver charge was the same
4. Warranty was the same
5. Exactly the same item
6. Returns policy was the same
Refused in the grounds that if I wanted a Sat delivery (which I didn't) there was an additional £7.50 fee)

I think its because being curved adds no value at all unless you are talking IMAX.
It must be cheaper to 'curve' a TV than to use an OLED panel, henced curved TVs

just got one of these from Panasonic outlet on eBay for £699.00, looks as good as new. may have been repaired or just returned. only 1 year guarantee though, but not a problem for me
