Manufacturer's Description
Headphones are not only a listening device, but also a fashion statement and the DJS400 series will be the best option to fulfil those needs with its great sound and urban aesthetics.
Panasonic’s design team have created the DJS400 headphones so they are visually appealing when being used and also when hung around the neck. The combination of two vivid colours makes the model really stand out on the street.
To make it ideal for outside usage, Panasonic has adapted the swivel mechanism to DJS400, this makes the model hand-portable and also highlights the double colouring of housing when the model is hung around the neck.
When listening to a digital portable audio player with normal headphones, the bass sound tends to be drowned out, especially when used on the road. The driver unit of DJS400 avoids this as it has been tuned to enhance bass sound, making it ideal for city use.Make yourself stand out on the street with the Panasonic DJS400.

True, the Sony ones I have now and undoubtedly the best headphones I have ever used. If you've had no previous, negative experiences with "on ear" headphones, go for it, but from my personal experience, the "comfort" of the NLA "on ear" head phones has put me off them entirely. For £8.99 it's worth a shot if you're looking for something cheap and cheerful.

Not sure if it's just me, but would not touch another "on ear" fitted pair of headphones again, no matter how cheap. After a long period of use, they start to dig in to your ears and cause some serious pain as they put enormous pressure onto your ears. Had a pair of Turtle Beech NLA "on ear" headphones which dropped from £20.00 to £5.99 so decided to give them a try - sound quality, etc is expected of the price but not recommended for prolonged use - my ears were red raw and felt like they had been struck repeatedly by a hammer after about 1 - 1 and a half hours of use. Just got myself some Sony 2.0 Gold ear phones for £40 which fit around your ear - the comfort isn't even comparable! Have had them on for 1-2 hours+ without any issues at all and the sound/mic quality is crystal clear with surround sound! Definitely worth the extra money for "around ear" headsets if you use headphones for prolonged periods of time like I do.

surely if you double the budget you would expect them to be more comfortable. don't think it has anything to do with on/over ear. but each to their own
