Remember to sign up for an ultraviolet account and store your purchases there if like me you like to rewatch movies years down the line. Any movies you buy on wuaki expire after three years.

will be watching this again, some of the jokes fall flat but on the whole its a brilliant film, the part where he tries to fight colossus had tears streaming down my face.
It's in their T&Cs. You can watch as many times as you like for a minimum of 3 years. Some movies may be available for longer but that's like playing the lottery.

Bought the Star Wars film but the previous comments about only having the film for only three years is beginning to worry me. That means I have not bought it, only leased it for three years. Can I cancel?

Seriously something not due for release until June is getting heat? By then surely most people will have found a way to watch it online anyway?
If you buy a movie, you may watch it as many times as you like for a guaranteed period of at least 3 years. However, in many cases the studio allows us to make content available for an even longer period, exceeding 3 years, and we will of course leave the content in your library then for as long as we are allowed to by the studios.

It comes down to the digit suppliers contracts as well. Found this out when tried to redeem mortdecai on blinkbox, it doesn't work. Spoke to them and they are only allowed certain providers uv copies. Same with wuaki n sainsbos. Flixster seems to be the only one where u can use everything.... On a computer, a lot of films don't work on their nowtv box apps, or roku apps. The whole uv experience is getting worse, imo, but it's still better than having such a fractured experience in buying (non uv) from wuaki, talktalk films, sainsbos, etc etc

This would great for me if Wuaki offered subtitles with their services but they don't do useless for me. :disappointed: Great price for those who get it though.

Does that actually link the film to your ultraviolet library, though? I've had GOT and Spiderwick Chronicles in My account for ages and they haven't been added to UV.

I do not believe this title includes a UV copy, nor do about 80% of the films sold on wuaki. I'm pretty sure if it did it would have the UV logo (check American Sniper for example, that was one of the first on wuaki and Sainsburys to get UV).

I suspect Deadpool or Star Wars won't be on Ultraviolet, depending on the licensing. Lots of Marvel movies get released without UV compatibility, and Star Wars is Disney and they don't release digital copies with their movies.

If so, why not pay for the item when it is released, then watch it immediately?

I agree with you about Disney. Marvel movies typically do not have UV's, the exception being Spiderman but then thats a Sony franchise.
However, even if the Bluray/DVD gets a UV it does not mean the digital providers will have UV. Take The Maze Runner for example. Both wuaki and Sainsburys sell that movie but do not provide the UV copy, however the Bluray comes with UV and is available through Flixster.
So my advice would be, if it doesn't show the UV symbol do not expect to receive it. Also, if it is added later, neither Wuaki or sainsburys give it to you proactively, you need to purchase it again to acquire the UV license.

I'm pretty sure whether a film gets a UV copy is dependent on which distributor is handling its DVD/Blu-ray release. All the big studios, with the exception of Disney, tend to include UV copies for mid-/big-budget movies. Warner Bros., for example, handled American Sniper, and if you buy the Blu-ray, you can also get the UV copy.
Fox is handling the release of Deadpool, and they've had UV copies for all their big Blu-ray releases for a while, like Kingsman, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Martian, Spy, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, etc.
I'd be very surprised if Deadpool doesn't have a UV copy as well.
