Anyone managed to find a good protective case for Oppo R7. Looked around on Ebay/Amazon but can't find an Armor style case.

I was one of the lucky people who managed to get hold of the r7 and first impressions are that it is fantastic. I've gone from the Vodafone SU6 to this and the difference in build quality is remarkable - it's got a premium feel to it. The screen is fantastic and the Color OS is much better than I expected - sadly no app drawer but I can live with that. If you got one of these for £99 then you've got yourself a genuine bargain.

Some ROMs enable LVM or you can repartition the internal memory to 6GB (check the XDA forums for guides). I went for the latter option because LVM support is a bit buggy on the Find 5.

Have bought this, but wondering whether I should have gone for this or the Vodafone smart ultra 6?
Or even the Xperia C4 just posted?

Well if you need/want the dual sim feature, then it's this one. If not, then the camera and build quality on the Sony is better than the other two.

This has better build quality than the c4 by a country mile, and the smart ultra 6.
This may have an overheating issue if you use for heavy duty games or whatever. Lots of reports. Comes from putting a processor that puts out a lot of heat in a thin enclosure.
If you're casual usage, want good call quality, great looks, nice sound, decent camera and can put up with the fast charging potentially ruining the battery within a year then I'd say this.
No band 20 that I can see so if you want the full range of 4g then the smart ultra 6 or c4.

The camera gets a bad write up

I've heard good things. Very fast, good textures, colours a bit washed out, low light dreadful. The samples I've seen look okay as well but it's not the camera they made a song and dance about.

Came back in stock for a few minutes this morning and I was able to order one.
That said, the reviews don't look very good.
I missed the Honor7 and Huawei P8 deals, but looks like the Oppo R7 has multiple issues.
Oppo R7 or Redmi Note 2 32GB? Any ideas?

No.

I've got an old Oppo Find 5 and it's running Marshmallow (an XDA variant of CM13) great, so I would imagine this will get lots of love on the XDA forums too.

Hi, i have a Find 5 and wanted to do the same as 2gb partition for apps on ColorOS is annoying me. Does CM13 install to a different position?

Well done for those who got their hands on it for £99. Retail price in China is around £190 at the moment.

Fast charging is very good on this but tends to destroy the battery within a year. It's great tech on their removable battery models, this not so much but at 99 pounds probably won't matter so much.

I own a lg g2 running Cyanogenmod. Is this worth an upgrade?

More of a sidegrade. Better build quality and screen on the Oppo but the cameras on both appear to be a bit rubbish and the LG is faster (SD800 v SD615). The G2 really was an outstanding phone for its time.

Now that's a deal! Puts the Vodafone Prime Ultra, or anything really, to shame at this price with a lovely 1080 OLED panel and great build quality.

Is this the one based on Android 4.4? And I think it's another with the 2 sim OR 1 sim/MicroSD setup. Good price nevertheless.
