Fantastic reduced price (RRP is £39.99). The official Wii U themed remotes are rarely discounted this good. Price includes free delivery. Order by 4pm for a same day despatch. Comes in a nice box also if your looking at it as a collector.
Also get a further bonus saving with the DOUBLE 10% player points back on your account offer, use code DONTHATETHEPLAYER (valid today only). So spending £29.99 today on this Remote would get you 2,999 player points (worth £3.00) added to your account. Effectively makes this a £26.99 purchase - great price! If your reading this after 26th Jan, then the usual 5% points apply £1.50 back on your purchase.
I have this remote and it matches either the Hori Luigi Gamepad or PDP Luigi Gamepad very nicely, if you own either.

In this day and age these remotes are way overpriced. It's basically 10 years old technology, same form just motion plus is the only change in all that time. Nintendo do overcharge on their technology and keep their game prices high far longer than they should.

If you hold it horizontally its is not that far away from a NES control pad. There are cheaper non Nintendo made remotes out there. I am happy to pay more myself for the themed, top quality stuff Nintendo product. To be fair to Nintendo it is not like anyone is being held to ransom and this is the only choice to play any game.

I felt like we never really did get any good sports games on the wii apart wii sports and tiger woods
What can't the nx make great motion with great graphics ,but only in sports games.

We got the best PES games. Its controls to this day are unparalleled. Really could have been something special on Wii U given all the extra horsepower and touchscreen. Konami ain't what they used to be and EA, well they're *******. I miss all the sports games.

Yeah, no. Like Mr. Garrison from South Park said 'f- 'em all to death' whereas in this case I'd be for 'burn them all to death'. :stuck_out_tongue:
Amiibos are literally physical DLC and now that they're expanding even more it's becoming harder to avoid not buying them for the mere purpose of using the DLC. God damn Nintendo just sell the DLC on the eShop. :disappointed:
The good thing is that there's DYI custom amiibo cards or the Amiiqo devices which is more convenient than buying these ****' toys and have it all in one place. Nintendo should be giving customers the option to buy it digitally and physically but nope, exclusive to Amiibos.

I would like the themed motes, but I'd want the matching nunchuck, so am safe from thinking £30 is in any way a good deal for these incomplete controllers.

Very true, but that would be my having my suspicious natured Nintendo hater detectors hat on there. Re your earlier comment on not caring for the themed remotes, makes sense really. They have their own target market, I don't imagine you have a shelf full of Amiibo crossing Amiibos either? Kids adore and love the themed remotes and PDP pads.
The batteries on the themed remotes last for ages also, but there is the option for using rechargeable batteries. I wanted 4 remotes also for purposes of having 4 x PDP themed wired controllers also. And as they all match up (Mario/Luigi/Peach/Yoshi) they look great and happy kids.

Not exactly cheap but quite a good price for an official wii remote.
Ordered thanks, can have 3 player New Super Mario Bros now

Horrible color scheme but heat added for being official/collectible merchandise that doesn't cost a fortune.

Probably. Just wish the D-PAD and shoulder triggers were like the ones on WUPC.

Let me put my fanpages hat on and answer with this
I may be one of the few Nintendo fans but I don't really give a flying cereal about themed-controllers but rather that they're reliable, comfortable and quality-built. As such, while the Wiimotes are all these three things this Wiimote is in fact overpriced in my opinion because I've bought a Wii U Pro Controller for £21 and a Gioteck GC-2 (compatible with Wii and Wii U) for less than £10. Plus, also worth mentioning this controller doesn't either have analogue sticks (duh) or internal battery.
Anyway, if Gioteck made a GC-2 new revised edition with digital triggers (Wii U can't recognise analogue triggers) it would really top the WUPC because I wholeheartedly prefer the Xbox/NGC layout over the right stick in the top.

One does not need to be an Xbox gamer to have that opinion.

Indeed! I'm still using my Wii controllers on my WiiU - not something you can say about XBOX/PS controllers!
But have to say this one looks a bit ugly. The ones bundled with games are usually better value for money. Best one was the gold Zelda edition.

You can get 3rd-party ones for under a tenner but they can be a bit shoddy.
The official ones are built to last but, I agree, the mark up these days must be massive.

To use a Star Wars analogy, one might say you left the Rebels and went over to the Dark side?
Seriously though, it is Mario Land themed stuff so there's always an element of collectibility or reasonable future return value when no longer needed.

I owned a Wii-U until late last year. But hey, if you can sell controllers for this price after a console has been out for 10years, they must be doing something right :innocent:

Matches the box image more, a duller darker green is more accurate. Looks like they have shined a bright light on the controller image to get the brighter colour.
