These crazy deals cannot be sustainable for Sky... I have 4 or 5 boxes sitting around at home because I bought them just for the movie passes (note to self: sell on ebay). Why don't they just make the service £5/month and be done with it?

Mine was missing the code as well... it was obviously missing as the box was missing all outer packing (the sleeve) and the tamper sticker wasn't even there. In the process of returning as like others I already have 5 of these in a cupboard somewhere, I only wanted the code

I called them straight away and they were great. They said to send it back and they'll refund the postage cost too. It looks like this has happened to quite a few people.

Turk .. you should have hollered me on this for just over £10 each?, hehehe, thanx for Posting anyway. :-)
Got mine today as an upgrade from the old white one. Nice to now have 1080p, Ethernet and network control via my Harmony remote (can hide it away). Mine did come with the 2 month movie scratch card in the box. I've an over abundance of movies to watch at the minute having bought 19 (@£1.90) from Wuaki recently though.

Just goes to show how overpriced the 'satellite' packages are.

I keep writing that in the reason why I'm cancelling...
I stated that I will never pay the normal asking price but they continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
£10 for one month or £10.85 for 2 months and a free Plex-able streaming box.. hmmm :smirk:

its only because a new box, thats apparently going to have over 60 free to view live channels, is just around the corner, so the stores are shifting them cheaply before they become old hat

Interesting - thanks
I just run them off my own server for the moment

personnally i think the black boxes are easier than the whites.but you will need to run a vpn as well to get some of the channels as they are mostly american at the min and i think there are around 18 uk ones.but only around 10 of any use.

Ta - thought i read somewhere that the new boxes didn't take to it. I've got 4 white ones all sideloaded, so that's good to know - ta

Same here. Still, you can flog the extra box on eBay. People buy them without the passes.
