Got mine from various pound shops but I would imagine a normal cheap mains powered charger would work the same, the type with only a singe led status light.

If they are lighter it is because they contain less active material, so they would behave exactly the same as the higher capacity cells in terms of charge cycles.

Cold from me. That USB charger will likely be poor and only charges 2 batteries.

That is the only reason I would buy one of these. Do you know of anywhere where you can get the charger on its own cheaper? I have some batteries my smart charger flags as faulty and read that these chargers usually do the trick just nicely.

these are great for a wireless pc mouse.(unless you need AAA, then they won't fit ;-) ) you'll find the lower the mAh the better they will perform. particularly if like me you always charge your mouse when not in use.

I've been using the 800mAh Poundland batteries in various applications for years without issue. Handy for LED Torches, Wireless Mice and we even use them in motorised salt/pepper grinders and they last months with daily use. As for these USB chargers they can be handy to have if you have deeply discharged cells, sometimes our smart/intelligent charger flags them up as faulty/shorted and refuses to charge them but 20mins in one of these puts enough juice in them to register on the proper charger.

2/ No intelligent control, so won't fully charge the batteries (or if it does then it'll overcharge ones which aren't drained).

I'd pay a bit more for something better, unless you're desperately skint.

These are great for my xbox controllers. Last long enough and easy to have set ready charged while using another.

Seeing that it is commensurate with what you are paying, it does not really make it a deal, hence I voted cold. It is false economy akin to buying cheap zinc batteries over buying alkaline.

The lower the mAh then the more charge cycles you get. Also they are lighter and nearer the same size as standard aa batteries. Some higher mAh batteries are a little fat for some devices. These would be good for kids game machines or toys. Cordless telephone. Wii remotes. Radio. Bike light. Torch.. Heat from me...

If you wanna go further down, you can get 800mAh AA's from Poundland, 2 for £1, same with 350mAh AAAs.

Poor for most applications but some people might have a use where they're suitable.
