Is that the same with all your electronics? Fridge, microwave, TV etc?
Even if not - if you'll throw it in the trash can I have your address so I can root through your bins please? Ta! :man:

At first i was pleasantly surprised with my 5x which I bought from launch. I would always get to within a day of battery usage (11pm battery saver would kick in - dose works well). Its only until recently the phone has been lagging to a completely unusable level. To a point the screen goes black, the dashboard disappears, and the system UI crashes. The camera takes atleast 10 seconds to load (snapchat, whatsapp camera, google camera all the same) and at times leads to a system crash. I'm running nova launcher prime so am going to try a system restore with just stock android and see how that fairs, but coming from a Note 4 which ran Nova pretty much 100%, i've got to say im disappointed. Its driven me to mad to the point I even considered a damn iPhone, that's how bad its become! I'm trying so hard to love this phone but its making it pretty difficult at the moment.

I'm guessing by your apps you also use Facebook?
Uninstall it.
Bookmark m.facebook.com in Chrome and add it to your homepage.
I removed a significant amount of lag just be ditching FB.
Apparently, Snapchat is another phone-lagger too...

I guess them being greedy with the 2gb ram instead of 3gb is hurting it.

I'm glad you commented. My experience with Android has always started great and ended with the device lagging like hell. Its why I'll probably be going to back to iPhone when the 7, or as I predict it'll be called, Air, comes out. It simply doesn't happen on iPhone.
Its a shame as Android is generally great otherwise.
interesting....i also find when im using spotify in the car the phone goes ape sh*t and the song drops in and out on the bluetooth. I'll give your suggestions a go. Thanks

Trouble is this has very similar specs to the other Huawei deal which is £150. £250 is LG G4 territory. But if you really must have a nexus, it's a good price.

The beauty of having a Nexus is that it gets the latest updates from Google, and it has a massive support base on the likes of XDA, unlike the majority of these cheap Chinese brands that tend to run their own OS and have very little support. Depends what you want in the device I guess.

I totally agree , which phone company is your G4 with as im still waiting for my O2 update.
UPDATE - i just checked my phone and the update finally showed up.
Evan before Adoptable storage arrived being able to slot in a SD card makes the LG G4 even better value for your money if your packing a SD card like my Sandisk 128GB compared to googles choked devices which i used to like a lot.
Considering the Nexus 5X only comes in 32GB makes it a big stumbling block you cant jump if your shooting 2160p video and photos and installing a reasonable number of Apps.I find it ironic that google finally caved under the demand for complete integration between card and device and yet googles devices will never see the fruits of there labor because of there blinked business strategy of cream pieing there customers faces with cloud storage, which of course comes with a monthly price.
Plus the added cherry on the top is when im flying those 14+ hour flights to hong kong all i need to do is slip a spare battery into my phone and its ready for another days works which no fast charger will ever match and left my NEXUS tablets nearly empty even with a battery pack supporting them.

The G4 is much bigger in the hand though, also no fingerprint scanner - which people might want. I wouldn't be without one now. I also personally hated the G4 skin, though the camera is very good. I think the build quality of the 5X feels better too, and I prefer having USB C to micro USB. Not saying the G4 isn't worth getting but owing to the recent cheap deals on the G4 people seem to think it's an immediate slot-in replacement for every Android that's more expensive. I don't believe this to be the case.

Fair, I never had issues with mine, and quite a few friends had/have one still. That said, I tested an early X Force. The trial lasted two weeks but I kept hold of it for AGES because it's a top phone.

Good luck getting Android N though!
One advantage of the Nexus range, is that the 5x will be good for Android N and O... And with custom ROMs, probably P too...

Love my Nexus 5X - great phone. 6P too large for me.
And the battery is great with a little tweaking (that's what the Nexus is for!)
I run Chroma ROM with ElementalX kernel and the Ghost Pepper CPU Governor setup.
That, along with the modified Camera giving Burst Mode, Video EIS and 240fps slow-mo... it now has all the 6P features
Great phone. And my Mrs. runs a 5x completely stock - and she gets on great with that, too - so it does work well in stock flavour too (but if you dabble, you can get even more out of it).

is this much of an upgrade from the g3? mine is away for repair again so using my old nexus 4 as a backup and realising how great a phone it was. shame the battery is a bit knackered.

Get Westcrip Resurrection ROM on the Nexus 4 and BaNkS Gapps, such a great Marshmallow ROM.
Agreed, this phone feels surprisingly well built in hand. I was expecting it to feel terrible but it's actually very nice and understated in the flesh. Pics and videos do not do the design of this justice. Feels way more premium than the G4 imo.

Another vote for the LG G4, older phone but same specs as the 5X except the G4 has a better camera and screen, and it's cheaper. Also, it finally got Marshmallow (v6 of the OS) yesterday.

Eh!, I have a Nexus 5 , and its a great quality device very rugged too, battery is fine now with the Marshmallow android update which has advanced battery saving features and I use greenify app too which gets me the full day, I would only upgrade to another Nexus device now, and this 5x at this price i am tempted.

I had no build quality issues with my Nexus 5 at all. Fastest phone I've ever used.
This price for the 5x is the price it should have been on day 1.

No not this morning. I had the N5 from when it was released. Battery awful. When it broke down on me I had to buy an emergency phone. Picked up the moto g2 for £60. The battery on it is amazing. I was expecting to ditch it quickly but I've been using it for 6 months now. And the power button on the N5 has a known fault. Which incidentally was why my N5 failed.
Today I ordered the moto x force from another post. As I was so impressed with the budget moto g2 I bought. Nothing wrong with it. Just want the moto flagship as the budget has been amazing..
