they just renewed my subscription for £24 without telling me
make sure when u email them asking not to renew, that you keep a copy of the email, if you fill it in on there website make sure you get a confirmation with your request. I dont think i got one, and dont have any proof

I purposefully did not renew my subscription due to the recent buy-out by Murdoch.
It's still a great publication and at this price [I try to convince myself] they at least aren't making too much profit.

Is often this price. Have subscribed for several years but will not be renewing now that it is Murdoch owned.
Used to be a great Magazine, now Murdoch (aka Satan himself) got his bloody hands on this.

Hmm, people know its 73% owned by fox now don't they? Yep, Rupert Murdoch the well known environmentalist. Just a heads up as I was about to buy before I did my homework. And I know his so. Is apparently green minded and in charge but it wont matter the magazine will become more conservative and will begin slowly drip feeding climate change denial poison into the minds of millions. Shame.

Agreed. You're all supporting Murdoch. Look at what he did to the National Geographic as soon as he took over. The sackings etc. As much as I used to love Nat Geo...I'll never support it again and I feel very very sorry for those that have been screwed over by Murdoch. If you care, bare this in mind. If ignorance is your thing or you don't care, go ahead and get thi deal, since on the outside it is in essence a "deal", as long as you're happy to remain naive to the consequences of supporting such people.

Thank you used to love the magazine too, but seeing the effects that Rupert Murdoch and the Fox spin machine does to news will be giving this a miss. Shame that he's allowed such a strong lobbyist voice in world society.

Two things I think of about National Geographic, tribal breasts and posh watches. Essentially it seemed to me this was a middle class spank mag with some gratuitous consumerism thrown in for good measure, in the pretence that it was eco friendly before such a thing had a name.

You can buy in dollars and works out at about £20 for 10 issues, which is about £15 saving on the UK price.
Edit - also seems to be a £19 version with a free map and free fleece.
