From memory, I think I was getting 80+ write and 100+MB/s read, on the three of the fastest mymemory red drives, at least one of which is a year old, so I'd be surprised if there were any of the slower ones left.

Those R/W speeds do seem slow. On my Lexar 64GB I get 80MB/s read and 35MB/s write.
I know it's not the same drive but I also recently bought a Sandisk 64GB Ultra OTG. On the same USB port I'm only getting around 25MB/s read and 12MB/s write. It seems really slow but supposedly a USB 3 stick as well.

Hopefully the new chips are faster, but the one I bought a couple of years ago was the worst high capacity USB drive I had... Speed in the low USB2 spectrum rather than USB3

The comments are nearly all positive about this drive and one comment states...
"Terrific drive. Used to obtain transfer speeds of circa 5 to 6mbs on 2.0. Now getting around 60mbs. Inexpensive compared to other drives. Would certainly recommend."

Nope. Whilst I'm sure there are faster ones out there, they are significantly faster than my run of the mill USB2 pendrives and £18 is run of the mill prices. Not SSD or even HDD speed, but they USB3.

I bought a couple last a year or so ago, I have not had any issues with them at all. Very good bit of kit

I've bought 4 of these so far, they're excellent, the latest 3 including a pair bought as a set, are the new faster chips, run a bit hot compared to the old (but not as hot as the equivalent grixx from 7dayshop), but much faster, at this price, great value at the slow speed, but you'll probably get the fast ones anyway.
