I'm really enjoying this. Admittedly I have gone on a bit of go slow with it since episode 8, so I do need to catch up. Heat added.
You are correct, this is obtainable on a 30 day Amazon Prime trial, as are many, many other TV and movies available. But, I think the target audience of the post was for those who like to own physical copies of the media they like.

Good price for owning it, but I really struggled to watch 3 episodes of this. Do yourselves a favour and try Halt and Catch Fire, should still be on Prime I think

Decent series. Really enjoyed it at the beginning then it got a bit confusing near the end of the season. Worth a watch but I wouldn't buy it.

I actually said this to my wife.
Its similar in the sense that he has a "dark passenger"
He does his bit to clean up society
He is clearly a psychopath
Lacks emotion and empathy
So yeah, a few parallels can be drawn

They both help the police.
Dexter collects blood slides of his victims instead of cds.
Programme was definately heavily influenced by dexter.

Like many of the comments, great show at the start then it fell off towards the end but still enjoyable and worth a watch. I think Rami Malek does a fantastic job and was for sure perfectly cast. Also weirdly enough like some of the other users it felt like some of the elements of the show mirrored Dexter but didn't really see that as problem.
