I have one and it isn't the best. Doesn't toast bread evenly both sides. But I did get it cheap with the matching kettle.

Yeah, just binned mine of this, as one morning it decided to trip the electric.
There are better toasters for £20-40 - don't bother with this one.

Bought one from Currys, first one didn't reject second one tripped my power. Luckily my electric is rcd protected of could have not been a happy ending

I'd just had my electrics upgraded to RCDs from the old wire-fused a week earlier.
Very glad I did - like you say, could've been quite risky otherwise!

Complete scrap,, doesn't toast evenly and takes forever .The longer a toaster takes to toast bread the harder the bread becomes , not nice at all.

Decent price for this toaster - bought the same model three years back for a chunk more money and it's still going strong.
Am a tad surprised to see so many people having trouble with this toaster - mine has been trouble-free and toasts pretty well since I've bought it (mainly do sliced bagels, naan bread and occasionally waffles).
No complaints thus far, bar the fact that the red finish can scratch a bit exposing the silver underneath (not so much trouble for the toaster, but the matching kettle has picked up some scratches over the last three years) - may bother some, but I don't personally dislike the patina it creates.

I bought one of these in 2012 in plum at full price and haven't had any issues with mine at all..used at least every other day..still going strong...

few years ago these were £50, one i got was excellent, best ever.
looks like the newer model has different shaped buttons, but maybe more than that has changed given peoples comments here
