Back in stock but £125, still not bad considering you get 2 vacuum heads, one is the turbo brush which is £45 on its own.

This is one area where you can't really save much energy, as now you are using the vacuum for longer times to get the same results.
Most newer "energy efficient" vacuum cleaners offers less suction power, this Miele included. You used to be able to find vacuums with 400W and more (up to 500W) suction power, now they are all around 250W, rarely above 300W.

You missed the point. The EU is just cutting the power consumption, for energy reasons. Not ensuring manufacturers invest in physics busting technology or using optimal designs (I suspect operating costs, marketing and style are more important to many of them). Electric motors are simple, and power has direct relationship to suction in this case. Sure there will be some variation in performance, but this is just a power cap.
Its a bit like the EU cap on headphone volume. Order a Sansa Clip in the EU, and almost not be able to hear your own music. Download the US firmware to it (and voila) a proper working device :/
This hits Britain harder, as unlike our EU neighbours who predominantly have wooden floors, we have carpet which needs more oomph to get clean.

Jokes right? My brother has the 1400... It's not a patch on the 2200watt cat and dog.... People want them, there is a new boxed 2200 on eBay around 400 notes..... Gold dust matey.

I have the old version, much more power than this 2200 watt, EU Law made all vacuum cleaners gutless.
I have just purchase a 1200w Miele C3 after owning the 2200w Hepa version for 10 years. The new version is lighter, quieter and the pick up is just as good it also moves around better as like I said, it is much lighter.

To be fair' that's a good question but to be honest any Miele would beat a Henry all day every day in every way
I can't put it any other way ( just hope you don't have any in-warranty problem mind

Can anyone recommend bags other than Miele's own (expensive) I love my Miele. I used to buy bags locally for peanuts, unfortunately shop closed down. I bought 4 from Amazon cost me £9.99 yesterday. Maybe I'm just being tight. I do vacuum daily as leaves are being brought in by family.

Got recommended a Miele by a friend after my second Dyson broke in an 18 month period.
Hands down this is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned, 8 years old and still works better than any other vacuum we've owned. Don't put put of by the fact it's a cylinder vacuum and not an upright, or that it isn't bagless. I use the vacuum every other day, average household, three pets. The bags last me about 3 months. Cylinder just means it takes less storage space and is easier to move around, especially when cleaning stairs. It also means the vacuum can fit inside a car for when you're cleaning it out.

We were Dyson users for 10+ years, took a chance on a Sebo from JL and wish we had sooner, fantastic vacuum, we did look at this one as an option. Might have went for it at this price but wouldn't swap the Sebo. Heat added though..
