The cost of entry is for use of the pen. If you need it, nothing compares to the Surface at any price. Otherwise, a regular Windows tablet does the job.

If you don't need the pen, don't buy a Surface. Simple.

Surely you are better of getting a Dell Venue Pro 11 from the outlet which would cost about the same as this but as good spec or better than a Surface Pro?

If you check often enough they even come up for less than £300 inc VAT & delivery for something that will have at least twice as much RAM, twice as much storage space and CPU be at least twice as quick.

They are both great devices, they both have their advantages, I don't see why people have to keep up this PC vs Mac thing. If Microsoft can convince developers to port their apps to Windows then the iPad is in trouble, but until then both devices are good purchases.

I'd hold off getting this Surface though as it's due for a refresh in a couple of months.

I have this but a different version (128gb 4gb ram) fantastic little device. but the keyboard is a must or you could just get a Bluetooth keyboard

Amazon are doing a bundle including the type cover and pen for £472 which works out approx the same as this deal, although with JL you do get an extra year of warranty included. The Surface is expensive for what it is but it is a very classy range of kit. The built in kick stand is such a good idea. I'm amazed that those 'innovators' at apple haven't ripped it off yet.

I ordered the 128gb version at Xmas time from the Very deal but it went back after 2 weeks due to the poor battery life.

It's still the most basic CPU paired with only 2gb of ram.
Way overpriced. If it included the keyboard I could see why people get excited.

Way over priced, like most of the Surface range.

Think you're better of going with the Cube I7 Stylus, more powerful, more features and much cheaper....:wink:

Not until you have experienced an Ipad can you say it isn't worth the extra. They are expensive but they are very good. Mine has had constant use for over four years and still as awesome as when I bought it. Money well spent.

Great price for a fantastic Windows machine I have one and runs very well and build quality is amazing compared to other Windows 2N1s
