Worth noting that today I received Game of thrones with Daenerys Pop vinyl and the BluRays came in separate disks just like they retail at (with barcodes also so clearly just bundled together) which is something I was hoping for, dislike collecting season 1-4 then 5, 6, 7.. seperately. Think this pretty much means that all the ones with Pop figures will be like this, so if you're like me then no worries.

This has been in my basket since the post went up. Does it have English writing on the box art or is it in French? I understand the external packaging containing the figurine and discs has but just wanted to confirm the seasons had English on them. Thanks.

BEWARE! Sopranos box set is missing the 28th bonus disc that all other regions have. The Wire is the same 20-disc set as everywhere else.

In details it says:
Format: Import, Blu-ray, Widescreen
Language: English
Subtitles: Spanish, French, German
Region: Region B/2, Region A/1 (Read more about DVD/Blu-ray formats.)
Number of discs: 20
So language is English, it is not in Swedish LOL. There is a little bit of Swedish on the back of the box but with the same thing in English next to it. The rest of it is in English. To me that is better than having a box all in French especially if you factor in the quicker delivery. That is just my opinion. Just giving information to help some folks in making their own decision.
Feel free to make a different one.

I actually picked up the Pacific Rim and Edge of Tomorrow 3d box set for the same price  Gravity isn't something I'll watch again
I looked at The Wire. Personally, I'd pay the extra £6 to have a UK version with English details on the case from Amazon UK.

Where is it only £6 extra for the English version. On Amazon UK it's £50.

I'd prefer The Hobbit Trilogy shortened versions.

The Wire isn't actually shot in HD though is it? Is it even worth having it on Blu-Ray and paying extra for it?

From David Simon's (creator of The Wire) blog:
"At the last, I’m satisfied what while this new version of The Wire is not, in some specific ways, the film we first made, it has sufficient merit to exist as an alternate version. There are scenes that clearly improve in HD and in the widescreen format. But there are things that are not improved. And even with our best resizing, touchups and maneuver, there are some things that are simply not as good. That’s the inevitability: This new version, after all, exists in an aspect ratio that simply wasn’t intended or serviced by the filmmakers when the camera was rolling and the shot was framed."
He was originally not that impressed with the decision to make it widescreen. After the transfer, he seems resigned to the fact that some people demand HD and widescreen and so it's not such a bad thing as it might reach a wider (no pun intended) audience, but he's not exactly over the moon about it.

the wire Blu-ray has dropped to €36 now, bout £27. I ordered at €41, anyone speak French, I'm going to try and email Amazon France for price match, this could get messy!
damn our English lazyiness for not speaking other languages.

Gotta be careful as some discs have forced French sub's when viewing in other languages, like English. A few I've picked up have been like this. Maybe things have changed now though.

My bad there is some Swedish writing on the back of the case but otherwise case in English and it's blue ray.
