Not the cheapest it's ever been, but the best price I can find right now without the assistance of a time machine.

I stopped expecting it since 2015 but yeah, it would be nice.
Mario Kart 8's main replayable mode is the online portion so with that aside, the offline could last for a few hours but that's about it. Online you'll play it infinitely.
That's for America. Yeah, I avoid "Nintendo Selects" because the cover is inferior to the original and looks cheaper.

Many really great games on the Wii U. But this one's still my favourite.

Nintendo select versions have next to zero colletable value,so for people who just want to play games this is great, but for those who also care about game collecting and want to keep games as an investment and collection, this news means nothing.

True but its annoying all Nintendo first party titles take ages or never drop in price

Still waiting for £20 biting point....no matter the quality this game is so old now I refuse to pay this price.

Well this one is a bargain compared to titles such as Mario 3D World or Windwaker HD those two go for £40-£60 on amazon or other major game suppliers.
Another £11 quid to download the extra 4 cups and 16 tracks, means its all under £40. Does not matter its been out for ages now, for the entertainment and enjoyment this game provides, thats great value and investment.
