Well, the photo makes it pretty clear.
Or were you expecting to see a bricklayer?

I always like the stickers on vans that say " No tools are kept in this van overnight " ....erm yeah ok so every workman loads up his living room or his garage when he gets home from work with all his tools and materials.
May as well put a sticker up saying "expensive tools and machinery inside this vehicle ".

Same here, got one of these a couple of years ago and am going to buy more.
And if you need more pegs, Sealy pegboard pegs work but you'll need to file them down a little to fit.
Unmounted they're pretty flexible. When properly mounted they'll hold things like hammers, 3/4" ratchets, pipe wrenches, etc but nothing really heavy.
That said if you needed them to be both rigid and portable you could always fix them to a flat piece of wood or two.

We bought one of these sets last year. Does the job well but we could have done with more hooks and these don't (didn't) seem to be available anywhere.
Maybe Lidl will offer packs of extra hooks this year.

How flexible are the boards when not attached to the wall? Thinking of using them for something else instead...

I would have thought this was a metre length in total, which is great. 3 of these and your whole garage back wall would be kitted out.

For the price this is amazing....
Seriously you wouldn't believe the cost of getting a pegboard setup in the UK

I figured that. Each board is 49 x 30 x 1.4cm and fitted together, you get 49 x 90 or 147 x 30 depending on how you fix them. But either way it's smaller than 1m x 0.5m, which is rather small, imho.
Perhaps if you get two or three of these, it might be okay. Hmm.

You get three boards.

Is that not rather small? Fitted together you get less than 1m x 0.5m.
