When I had my G3 I had 2 spare batteries and a wall charger. They were third party batteries as was the wall charger and definitely discharged quicker than the original LG G3 battery but at least I had a charged back up or two for my phone.
The charger and batteries were all around a fiver about a year ago but I guess they're a bit more now that the G4 is the main phone. I know 3rd party chargers/batteries are avoided by a lot of people but I found them absolutely fine.

This work with a g3, or an equivalent unit suggestion would be fantastic. ( i can't find a battery supplier that i trust)

Not suitable for G3 and good spare batteries/external chargers were always tricky to find and expensive.

Thank you OP - ordered. I nearly picked it out as a present for me at Christmas for £29.99.
I have noticed (this is not a complaint) that the battery doesn't seem to hold it's charge as good as when I bought it in October. It might have something to do with me being a cabbie and having to top the phone up most nights using the cigarette lighter to USB adaptor but still using an original LG charging cable. Maybe this takes a bit of life out of the battery. My G3 battery life was so bad that I always had a spare battery in my back pocket and I'm just getting the feeling I will need one very soon with the G4. Not too worried at this price as the phone itself is great.

Constant charging while it's on will wear the battery quicker in part due to the additional heat that's generated. You would be much better off getting this deal and leaving that on charge when necessary than charging your phone directly.
I got one of these for £30 I think last year when I got a G4 and keep the 2 batteries cycling between this and the phone every time the phone hits 15%. The design for this external battery charger is much better than the one for the G4, it's only marginally bigger than the battery itself and the battery is held in my a flap so won't pop out like the G3.

The phone reboots and gets stuck in a loop rebooting over and over...

Boot loop *seems* limited to serial numbers beginning 505xxxxxxxxxxx, mine has s/n of 506xxxxxxxxxxx and I've had zero issues with this lovely handset...

Great price, bought this myself before Xmas when it was £30 (& still value for money). The G4 has stupendous battery life anyway, but the simplicity of popping off the cover and putting a fresh one in has been very helpful. I'd rather sacrifice the idea of the slimmest phone ever with a replaceable battery. A no-brainer for me.

What are boot loops? Unfortunately I'm not up on too much of this technical jargon!

Thanks OP. Been waiting for this to drop to £20. Ordered 4:40pm yesterday and it just arrived at 10:25am. Impressive!
Just opened it and see the battery is dated July 2015 so not the newest, but hopefully it will hold a decent charge.

I don't think they released a fix, they just said it was covered under warranty.

Wonder if you can get one of these for an S6 or an iphone 6 lol. Some manufacturers need to learn a thing or two. Nice find. I don't need one for my G4 as battery lasts a good couple of days and I keep a spare lead permanently plugged into my pc at work and my laptop and have a charger in the car. Just wish I was as organised with everything else lol.

batteries tend to suffer after around 300 charges or a years worth. . so this is hot to get another solid years worth of use from the excellent g4

Heat added that's why I love a phone with a removable battery, 0 to 100% in a matter of seconds
