Grab a Custom ROM from XDA and you'll be laughing.
Personally I'd pay the £35 extra and get the awesome LG G4 from Vodafone.

Even with dubious battery life you'll stuggle to find a higher spec phone for this price.
I'm using one. I like it.

Please follow a link I left in one of the previous post. I am in UK as well, and there was no problem upgrade it manually.

Excellent phone. I have LG G3 and It had poor battery life prior Marshmallow update , and it is now great. The screen is awesome as well. I would get G4, but G3 is good enough. Highly recommend G4

I love my G3 its a brilliant phone takes cracking pictures , its solid too, I have dropped it 4 times and it has been fine....My wife has the G2 and I actually think the screen on the G2 is sharper than the one on the G3 when comparing them side by side also colour is more washed out on the G3 compared to the G2 but still an amazing phone

Had this phone for 6 months now and the battery is terrible, even with management apps it frequently overheats and freezes. I'm moving to a Redmi Note 2 a lot cheaper and better reviews (if it ever arrives)

I must say I had the G3, big screen, poor battery life and screen broke twice and I have never broken a screen before, I wouldn't recommend, only personal choice

Agree. Mine went to LG twice for repair... and finally broke before Christmas... still in contract so had to buy the Vod Smart Ultra.

I hear lots of talk of lag on the G3. Guess this is why folk are installing CM12 or other custom roms on it.
That Quad HD screen is, in my opinion, a real waste of processing and battery power. 1080p is more than enough on a 5 or 6" screen. It's good enough on 50" televisions for goodness sake!

Bought one last month for £217 and am very happy with it. Yes, there are better phones out there, but they cost twice as much. Buy a screen protector and case.

the G4 is at least £100 more, this G3 would make a good virtual reality screen at 1440p as well as a good phone (when flashed with custom rom)

I've been looking myself as my G2 (which I love) is on the blink, but there are a lot of comparisons on You Tube between the G3 and the similarly priced Flex 2. Most of the votes seem to be going for the Flex, even though it doesn't have the laser focussing of the camera or the quad core screen, and having seen the comments and some of the videos, I think that's the way I'm heading as well. The Flex was always meant to be a higher priced phone (with the weird repairable back), but never took off, making it a bit of a bargain now.

When you flash CM the issue I have is that banking/work apps dont work as they detect root.
I even have one barclays app that wont work as it says my phone is rooted when its not (OnePlus One with CM completely stock)

My battery life has always been exceptionally good. also dropped my G3 several times and it has survived intact thanks to using a glass screen protector and a good quality case. I see no reason to upgrade, it still feels fast, hopefully I can get another year or 2 out of it. Nothing I hate more than spending money on phones.
Both this and the G4 will go down in price over the coming months. I agree with other comments about the G4 only being about £40 more on offer. Definitely worth the extra dosh.

G4 every time over this. Far better battery life and camera. Both nice phones, but the G4 has a definite edge. Still a hot price for this though.

Got the g3 and it's best phone I've ever got. Love the back buttons shame they got rid them for the gd :disappointed: battery problems were fixed with recent update or rooting it an playing in the background. I'll hopefully be getting the g5 when the price becomes normal after the hype.

I have a G3 but i'm still awaiting the Marshmallow update on O2. I have never had the chance to compare it with a G4 but I can highly recommend it on its own merits. I don't think it will disappoint.

It s a two year old phone but tbh at this price it will still run rings round others in this price bracket. It's got marshmallow too which makes it more up to date than some, factor in sd card storage and a removable battery and your laughing

My partner owns the g3 and I have flashed it with cyanogenmod, it runs very smooth with the custom rom, I own the iphone 6 and I prefer the g3, it runs much smoother than my iphone and never had any problems, I'm actually very tempted to sell my iphone 6 and purchase this instead, although I cannot say what the phone is like with stock rom as I flashed cyanogenmod the day my partner got the G3

Good phone! I upgraded from this to the galaxy s6, and apart from a better camera and better screen, they're pretty much equal.
Oh, but I just remembered that mine used to crash all the time and aggravate the hell out of me. Hence the reason I upgraded. They might have fixed this with an update though.

The G5 has just been announced but is not out yet. This phone still has excellent specs for this price and is still very relevant. It has a very decent camera, 2k screen removable battery and micro SD card slot.
