For £100 less(than my prev deal listed) this seems like u can get a SSD and 4 gb ram added which will make this a diff beast ...
Need to check increasse in Ram is possible and change to SSD does not break the warranty ?

No , I meant we can add for less than £100 ,still making it cheaper for a FULL HD :-) ?

Does this have SSD and 4G RAM or are you saying this can be added for under £100?

From what i can make out the Hard disk could be 500gb 5400RPM Solid State Hybrid Drive inc 8Gb Cache flash as this is what the other laptops come with and they are cheaper.
It seems a very good buy for a decent laptop with some decent power and with ram so cheap £26 for 8gb it would make a decent everyday laptop with enough power to do pretty much anything you needed.

A good option if you're in the market for a laptop and especially if you have an SSD lying around from recent sales!

Unless you have a specific reason to go for 17" don't. Not full hd and big screen don't play well together. Also there is a question whether you have a need for a powerful quad core i7? It won't make your pc faster unless you are doing some specific things to start with.
This is a perfectly balanced machine. and a friend got it when the ebay was doing 20% off for 250£, he is very happy with it. (Also a lot of friends picked similar ones up before but mostly with an i3.)
I also don't quite get where these laptops sit in terms of refurbished/used/returns/new. But they have warranty and no marks of use...

Free upgrade to Windows 10, check it's activated (digital license entitlement) then download Win 10 10586 ISO from Microsoft and do a clean install from a USB drive. No key needed every, sorted.

Looks good. I bought a laptop a month or so ago and getting a full HD screen for this price is great.

Good specs/price but anyone else find the position of the trackpad a bit weird? Apparently if you touch type its centered around where you'd put your fingers and not the screen. just worth considering and maybe going into a shop to try out before you buy.
