In fairness, £150 more is almost 40% more, and if someone has a budget of £400 then whats avail at £550 is irrelevant.
Plus with laptops particularly, even with that £550 offer, theres no doubt theres something even better and even more worthwhile for £150 more than it.

Screen resolution of 720 horizontal or greater IS HD. 1080+ is FHD.

trackpad is awful, worst I've had. Far too easy zoom when you want to just click or drag (at least zoom can be turned off). Also no gap between left and right button so very easy to right click by mistake.
Paid £540 for FHD version 12 months ago. OK deal.

Can thess things handle 4k video? my laptop is all chopy viewing my go pro back whihc is recorded in 4k. i do relaise the screen of my laptop probably isnt 4k, i jsut wnat to view it back and edit for my tv.

Honestly I would be surprised if it can. Oh yes it can probably view it no problem. But video editing is very cpu intensive and these are all mobile low power 2 core cpu's. Also depending on what you are using and if it can take advantage of the graphics card, I would say you would need something a lot more powerful if you want to edit the video. Well actually you probably still can, you will just have to wait a long time for it to finish applying any edits you might have envisioned)
If you just want to watch, then I am pretty sure your laptop is powerful enough but there is something wrong happening.
For example did you first copy the video to your device prior to trying to watch it, maybe your SD card reader is too slow to handle 4K. Also what are you using to watch the video, (which program) and what res is your laptop and which cpu/gpu?

It holds the O/S and buffers - SSD is much faster than HDD, so you get most of the advantage of an SSD, but the huge capacity of a regular HDD. 95% of files on your PC are pretty much written to then just sit there, so it makes sense.
The thickness, battery life, weight, none of them qualify as a Ultrabook.
It is a normal non-FHD laptop, maybe slim design without DVD-RW.

sOUNDS EXACTLY like an SSHD a hybrid disk drive .. small amount of SSD coupled with a std hard disk in one unit.. possibly good if you can only fit one drive
