Yes it's a refurb but it's Lenovo Certified refurbished
And it's only got 4GB ram and a little 500GB HD
But it's got a 1920x1080 screen and it's £299 plus delivery.
What's not to like?
If you want a mahooosive 17 inch laptop with a nice quick processor which is ripe for adding an SSD then it feels like a good deal to me.

Nice find. Pity it's not the model worth dedicated GPS (even if for a bit more), but a good price.

Why would you need GPS inside a laptop? I won't mind it in my tablet, definitely an essential in a mobile, but a laptop??

Good price for the specs.
It is the seller I am concerned.
Have heard bad things about them.
I would not touch them.

I purchased a lenovo flex 2-15 from they're ebay shop last year. The hard drive was faulty so I just sent the hard drive back for a partial refund. After a few days I had to remind them, but they sent a full refund instead! I took it no questions asked. Of course that was luck, but they were helpful none the less!

I assume they meant, 'with a dedicated GPU'

I'd be inclined to agree with that considering the typo at the start of the sentence would be another autocorrect on a phone/tablet device. However, I fail to see the point in getting a dedicated graphics card in a full HD laptop priced at the £300 mark as it would be at best a 930m or something similarly low end that barely will beat the integrated graphics, won't be able to do anything on the FHD display of any note and would just kill battery life. Also the fact that dedicated graphics worth talking about is unheard of at this price point.

Is there a 17.3'' i7 4th gen laptop, similar to this, with a resolution of 1920x1080 , with a price not far off from this, I nearly took a bite at this laptop  ,I'm after an i7, probably would have bitten me back

Worth the risk for the m-tier processor and fhd screen.
The big question is whether the screen is IPS or not?

Minor point but if cpu correct the graphics will be 4600 not 4400 making this very marginally better graphically

Looks like really good specs for the price but after checking out a few 1* reviews on Amazon I decided not to get one.
Seems like there's a lot of issues with the battery, and there's no Win7/10 drivers for it.

Would you expect more than that for £307? Please post a link, I suspect you'd be helping a lot of people find their next laptop.

The US keyboard!

I agree....that's definitely not to like.
Having said that, the spec of this machine is good for the money.

That is very good for you.
Did your Flex 2 15 had i5 and FHD IPS screen? How was the screen?
And did they dispatch from UK or China? How long did it take for your laptop to arrive?

Is there a major difference between i5-4210M and an i7?

I don't know how easy it would be to swap out for a UK spec keyboard (the Dells are easy to change). Pity; was looking for a new machine as the old Dell which we are using really doesn't like Win 10 as Dell will not update any drivers and WiFi is now a pita.

Yes i5-4210u, FHD. Only took 1 or 2 days, also a refurb, not a mark on it.
Well the screen is OK, although not premium, as you'd expect for this price, it's not great in all lighting, would be better if it was matt.

Completely correct damn autocorrect! Although my thinking was not for hardcore gaming but may be a few light games and to assist with other things.
