A family member wants a new cheap PC that is decent enough to run Second Life.
Would this do the job?

Purchased 2 of them and registered warranty with lenovo and both came back out of warranty saying over year old...got it all sorted with them now by filling in the form and sending proof of purchase and the 3 year warranty upgrade is only 14.40 if it goes back to them and they pay all postage or you could go for 3 year warranty at 24.00 and they will be with you at your home within 4 hours to do repair..So very cheap to upgrade to 3 years i think

This is a very decent PC - up to quad core processor, up to 32Gb of RAM, up to 20TB HDD, 5TB SSD, up to Nvidia Titan X, up to 3D printer that prints space satellites. Not bad.

Thank OP! Managed to reserve one in North London no problem. My 7 year old likes to go on educational sites for school and Friv. Would it be fast enough for that type of thing, youtube and general browsing? Thanks.

I have this computer and it is loaded with bloatware (as are all computers usually :P) and is pretty good for the price. Its quite small and does basic stuff very well. However if you are accustom to a faster pc like me then it will feel a bit sluggish. I put an ssd in mine which helped quite a bit but the processor seems to be the limiting factor now.

Reserved. Anyone recommend a decent cheap 1080 monitor to go with this?
the CPU is a Silvermont Atom ("Baytrail D"), about the performance of a core2 processor, but very power efficient.
So it's fine for office stuff, web browsing, and some lightweight games - you'll need a graphics card if you want to do anything demanding.
Cold from me too......appears to be no stock anywhere! Argos always get people's hopes up with these offers and never have any stock about. They have probably sold one to someone in the outback somewhere lol

It has one HDMI via the onboard Intel graphics.
The picture shown is from another model in the H30 range which has a discrete card (although still a single HDMI output because onboard GPU is disabled when you plug in a discrete card).
